can I just say, at the risk of sounding patronising which I do not mean, you are a total inspiration and have changed my life to make it a thousand times better. I am now doing what I love instead of listening to people who told me I was incapable. I just wanted you to know that even if no one else sees your message you have changed my life at least. oh and I'm doing this very walk in a few weeks

Bringing back lots of memories. My late grandad was from round that area and talked about the railway. We went up the hills just south of Loch Lochy and saw golden eagles. Nice, especially the wild raspberries.

56:05 - You sound like Henry Thoreau musing in Walden "I was suddenly sensible of such sweet and beneficent society in Nature, in. the very pattering of the drops, and in every sound and sight around my house, an infinite and unaccountable friendliness all at once like an atmosphere sustaining me, as made the fancied advantages of human neighborhood insignificant, and I have never thought of them since. Every little pine needle expanded and swelled with sympathy and befriended me. I was so distinctly made aware of the presence of something kindred to me, even in scenes which we are accustomed to call wild and dreary, and also that the nearest of blood to me and humanest was not a person nor a villager, that I thought no place could ever be strange to me again." Love it!

Then I continued on "with you" along the Great Glen Way, then@ Meter: 8:46, noticing it is nearly noon, I decided, I better change out of PJs, get dressed, Gear Up & go out to our forest for another explore-adventure. Carry on Abbie, Happy Trails...

Some of the views were spectacular, your enthusiasm as always infectious, but what struck me most about this video Abbie is the quiet wisdom you gave us on this one. The choice in every moment to truly open our eyes and to see. To take joy in the beauty to be found everywhere around us. It is far too easy to get caught up in the destination and to lose sight of the pleasure of the journey itself. Great stuff. Stay safe and stay wild :-)

Hi Abbie, I came across your videos while looking at reviews for a new back pack and fell in love. I am fortunate enough to be from and live in the North West Scottish Highlands and love being in my home landscape. You have totally inspired me to do some of these longer distances trails when covid allows. I hope you can visit the west highlands of Scotland soon as it is extremely spectacular and special and quite different to the rest of Scotland with much more rugged and protruding mountains and hills! Come through Glen Shiel to the Isle of Skye and then even further noth to the Torriden mountain! Amazing videos from you!! Also wee side note the lovely village of Drumnadrochit where you seen the Highland games if you ever wondered us locals would pronounce it just like its spelt Drum-nah-droch-it (droch like loch/lock). Hope to see you back in Scotland soon

New to your channel. Have watched a few of your hikes now. It's really inspired me to get off my duff, and start hiking more. Crippled with pain, I sort of gave up on that part of my life. Your journeys have inspired me to start getting out there again. I can't do the kind of hiking you do...not yet anyway, but I am getting out. Where I live here in Canada, there is no shortage of trails and nature. Getting back out into nature has really boosted my spirit. My body may still be in pain, but my soul is healing

I’m into the last thirty minutes of the video, and thoroughly enjoying it. What a relaxing way to spend a quiet Sunday. ☕️ When you were walking through the forests I could imagine how pretty it would look in winter when it had been snowing. 🌲 With regard to the dead wood, I learnt something here. I didn’t know why it was left on the ground like that, so thanks! I’ve enjoyed this tour through Scotland! 🏴
