What an amazing Sunday afternoon film. I have, through my own stupidity allowed myself to get unfit and fat.. 20 years ago this would have been the kind of thing I was doing. I’m 48 years old and want to turn my life around and get back to doing this again. Thank you for inspiring me.

Such a tonic on a cold winter's night with the wind howling outside, and the rain lashing against the windows, a reminder that sunny, warm days lie not too far ahead. Great to see you back doing what you do so well, taking us with you on the trail, and making us feel every sweat soaked mile of the journey. Truly inspiring!!

Hooray! at last. I was wondering what had happened to this after your 'what I took on the Cotswold way' video. I'm glad to see you did it in the correct North South direction. Interesting that you found real campsites too, most of what I've read has had the Cotswold way down as a B&B or Wild camp path and it seems a bit too populated to wild camp so it's nice to see there are more options that the published camp sites.

Thanks for posting this. I had an ankle and foot break right as Covid 19 hit here and was the last surgery before the sports clinic shut down. All physical therapy places were considered elective medicine and were shut down. My physical therapy was getting out to walk in nature. It has been three years to the date since that surgery and I am putting in seven mile days. Nothing like your long mileage, but always out in nature and if possible, near a body of water because that brings peace to my soul. It is a choice I make to get out in nature because it invigorates me and helps me to survive chronic depression and chronic anxiety. I loved following along with your trip.

Lovely to see this. I used to live in Wotton-Under-Edge, so parts of this trail are old friends to me. Regarding your question about where the people who lived in the iron-age hill forts got their water: The permeable limestone is a cap over impermeable sandstone, which forces water out to the side a little below the top. If you look closely at the OS map, you can see a spring line contouring below the edge.

Hiya how are you my name is chris 44 from Edinburgh living in bourton-on-the-water. Ive been struggling with mental health and to the point the darkness was overwhelmingly powerful that my only option was well not going to get into that . I come across not this video but the one where you done a review on the terra nova southern cross tent . Having absoulty no intrest in the video somthing made me watch it . Thank the lord i did . You triggered somthing within . I went and got the terra nova southern cross 1 and a pair of scarpa trek gtx and when i get payed at the end of this month i get hopfully the rest and following month clothing and camera go pro equipment. Then end of september as im in bourton-on-the-water im going to do the Cotswolds way as my first ever trail . I know i can do this failure is not a option. You have sparked somthing inside me and im kinda obsessed about wild camping and doing as ma y trails i can while i can. Coatswalds way first the Oxfordshire way then back home to Scotland and west highland way and the great glen way . Then coast to coast. Im thinking about walking the entire coast line of the uk in about 2yrs time by then i will have saved up and bought all the best kit . Your review on the terra nova southern cross tent actually saved my life you saved my life and that i thank you ❤

You are in such great spirits, Abbie, and the scenery is a really nice combination of vistas and villages. I have been through the Cotswolds before on a coach, but it must be so much nicer to take the area in by foot, seeing all of the plants (those ancient trees!) and animals at walking speed.
