I haven't had much time for much of anything lately, so as soon as I found a free weekend, I packed the car and went fishing in the mighty Murray River. nuff said.....

nice looking spot there. Good to see other fish besides the carp being caught, we've been catching only carp near Walker flat, lots of carp

Hey Rob, Yeah, this spot is north of Shepperton in Victoria. Have been camping along a 4km stretch of river for about 14 years and the fishing has changed a lot over time. A few years back there was nothing but carp but in the last couple of years the natives are bigger and better numbers..... or I have no idea what I'm talking about and I just happened to find the right gully to fish. I'm hanging out for Feb to do a week up there when everyone else has gone back to work.

I did mention on another comment what area I am in, but due to wanting to keep my exact spot to myself AND because many KZbinrs these days seem to be getting into trouble from authorities that are using these types of video as evidence of crimes and being prosecuted, I wont be answering this question due to its exact nature. Hope you understand. Having said that, most of the river between Lake Mulwala and Barmah and beyond is very similar to this.

Yeah, this is pretty much the same experience I've had along the Murray from Barmah to Cobram. I only ever go up these days outside of school holidays and not on long weekends to avoid the crowds. I'm planning another 4 day trip in February, should be almost deserted :)

It can be at times, but we wait and camp on weekends and take time off to avoid public/school holidays. It was pretty quiet on this trip, unlike Australia day camping when there are party barges going up and down the river between the popular beaches.
