Hey! It was filmed in August 2021. No it’s not ice, it’s foam. Apparently it’s natural and caused from organic breakdown in the water and the wind… who knew?

Hopefully when it's safe we would love to go camping there with our kids. How did u keep the meat from going bad? Did u bring a mini fridge?

Yes, you should!! We had two coolers with a lot of ice. We recommend one cooler strictly for food (not opened as frequently and thus colder) and another for drinks!

Was there anything to cook with in your fire pit, or was it just a hole in the ground!

Hi Sarah, it was just a metal square box in the ground. There was no grill on top!

Hi Sarah, sorry, I didn’t see the reply earlier. No unfortunately I don’t think you can request it. You can call the park office and ask! Or maybe buy a cheap grill top from Canadian tire and bring that!

Hey, just google Cyprus Lake Tobermory and it’ll show up! The Grotto is a bit of a walk from the parking lot but not that far!

Yeah unfortunately you need to reserve a parking spot. Or you can camp at the Cyprus lake campground and walk there whenever you like/for however long!
