Camping First Timer at 57
We have owned 4 campers including this Keystone Outback Terrain and this is the first time we have taken one on the open road and actually spent more than one night camping. We learned a lot. We even went RV/camper shopping!
As first timers, him 60 and her 57, we made some rookie mistakes like forgetting pillows. So after properly hooking up the sewer, water and 30 AMP power, we went to tow in Greenville, NC and found some at Big Lots. The first morning we had breakfast at Buiscutville because we had never been but then the next day we cooked on the outdoor camper kitchen stove.

Wow, first time in that rig. FWIW using an rv fridge while not level, is inviting a fire. We know, we lost our rig 4 weeks ago, fridge burst into flames, while sitting idle on driveway. It’s the leading cause of rv fires, according to our insurance folks. Be careful, absorption fridges are diff than at home

Love some biscuiteville. They actually originated in my hometown of Burlington, NC. The owner had an Italian place called Pizzaville and started selling his mothers biscuits. The rest is history.

I am 70 now, and my wife refuses to camp. I mostly camp out of the back of my pickup, but recently picked up a Shiftpod tent for some more leisure time camping. What I am most interested in is, where can I pick up one of those neat Jen gadgets you got there. Something tells me she would come in real handy in helping set up camp. 😘 Do they come with batteries, or do I need to supply my own? 🤔🤨

You really need something under those stabilizers. We used to have a travel trailer and broke one of our stabilizers cause we didn’t use anything. Some sites are not as level as they might be so not extending those stabilizers all the way to the ground will keep your rig from shaking when you walk around. Get some slide out stabilizers too.

Hi I just came across this u tube video and it caught my eye as it started out with you being spray tanned. I was wondering if you could share the one you use and the color you like. I have gone thru so many brands of self tanners and they all leave me freckled. a sprayer is my last resort as tanning isnt an option anymore. My husband and I are at the age where we are trying to decide what are best option is for an RV so we look forward to watching more of ur videos and getting a feel how u guys handle pulling a trailer and work aroud the pups. we have 1 big golden retriever. looking forward to any feedback u have to offer

We sell our own. www.etsy.com/shop/bansheemoon Note that, the spots or freckles really don't have anything to do with the brand. It is just that some of us have very dry spots that pick up more DHA and get tanner. Try applying lotion an hour before tanning, it may help a lot.

At 21.42 it looks likes you only have half of the anti-sway system hooked up. I thought a a full anti-sway system has either sway bars or some sort of chains on both sides of the hitch system to not only level everything out and slow the sway of the trailer.

If it rains you want one side of your awning lower than the other so water runs off and doesn't puddle on the awning.

Heres the job I would like to have. KOA has MYSTERY CAMPERS. You go to an Rv park check in, camp and when you are ready to leave, you fill out a camping experience report that KOA corporate gives you & you leave a copy with the parks check in desk & be on your way. KOA will reimburse you for your campground expenses. !

My parents both spent same years in the civil service, but my mom was investing through a asset manager, and my dad through the 401k. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by managers can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.

Hello.. I am nearly 70 years old and still love camping. It makes me feel younger and walking does me good. Well done both of you age is a number so just enjoy what you have as i have health issues and do not go out as yet. From what I can understand, the main activity in travel camping is couple swapping. Is this true? Other than that, every other feature of it seems like a major pain in the behind.
