Finally! Someone else that uses an electric blanket in the their bag. I use a much bigger bag than you with a few more liner layers if needed. I altered my bag though so the cord comes out the foot end and I put diy snaps in the blanket and bag to keep it from shifting when I flop side to side. For summers I don’t even bother with a bag and use several poncho liners. One solo one and a big giant one which I sewed 3 together.

Sounds like a killer set up! May I ask what blanket you went with??

@@NorthwestBronco It looks a lot like yours, red, dc, 12 volt. Heats enough to warm itself when it isn’t in the sleeping bag. If I get a bigger battery I may upgrade to a 120v residential full size bed electric blanket. But what I got works pretty well so why reinvent the wheel.

Looks like a nice set up. Those winter nights in central/eastern Oregon get real cold! We should get a trip organized out there sometime in April!

How are you liking the Toyo Rt Trail? How are they in snow/ice? Thank you
@NorthwestBronco10 ай бұрын
I have a update on the was regarding snow and ice. But I'll go ahead and save you having to suffer through an entire video. Ice they are like any other tire. Slip and slide. Snow they were great! No traction problems on and off road. I'm only had them in 1-3 inches. But I was driving just fine. I believe that is going to be my next video. Stay tuned!

@@NorthwestBronco Thank you for the response. I'm debating on switching to the Rt trails or get the same General grabber x3. The x3 is exellent on all areas but just like you said on ice they slip and slide like all other tires.

I've had very good luck with the Toyos. GREAT on dry roads and dirt trails. No punctures. In the mud, they do fairly well for a hybrid. Pretty darn good in the snow. As of now, I'll be getting another set of these in the future. If anything goes wrong, I'll post a video for sure! @@humanerror091

I'd love to do that. I'm solo 99% of the time and it would be nice to have someone to talk to :) Let me know if you are ever headed to the Oregon desert. More specifically, Hwy 20 area.
