Camping Gone Wrong! | Dads to twins via Surrogacy

We had this incredible camping adventure planned out in our heads with barbequing, trail walking, exploring our surroundings and sleeping peacefully immersed in nature and boy were we wrong. As soon as we close our eyes, we were attacked by mosquitoes, buzzing all night in our ears and biting nonstop, the weather turned from nice and cool, to freezing and unbearable and there were all kinds of strange noises surrounding us as we attempted sleep. At the same time, we were worried about our boys being uncomfortable or cold, and it turned out to be a total nightmare. After nearly bringing our entire home with us for what was to be 2 nights of camping, we left home after one night, and less than 24 hours of a defunct camping experience. The moral of the story, DONT GO CAMPING WITH BABIES EVER!

Bahahaha! We had to glam it up for our little boys. Pre-babies we would canoe down alligator infested waters and camp on the side of the river. Now we sleep in tents with area rugs and nightstands lmao 😂😂😂 We can't possibly stay home any more than we already have. This was our first outing in months. Thanks for all the love!

Oh my god I am a lifetime camper and you just showed me how to do it right. I camp in a 38 foot RV with slide outs and it has never looked as Glamped as your place. Bet me the under carriage storage will be filled with lights like yours before I go again. Oh my goodness it sounded just like that baby said I love you. I am not brave enough to tent camp in Fla to many things on that ground for me. ROFL dont give up on camping the boys will love it and learn to love and appreciate nature. Pack and plays are a must have though. Toys and pack and plays and blanket sleepers. Must haves. Also extra bottles if your only staying two days sterilize them when you get home but have extra clean ones and just rinse the used ones on the trip and sterilize them when you return home. Dont forget they are never to young to start reading to them too. your boys I have noticed stare you down when you are talking and when you glance their direction they are all smiles. Start reading while you have them as captive audience and they will be book lovers for life.

We buy citronella stickers which we attach to clothes and inside the tent when camping. That may help next time. Also, it must be difficult not to smother the twins with kisses. I just want to squeeze them! Love their outfit too!

Great tip! We had citronella candles in our tent but the tent was pretty large and it only provided support for the side of the babies, which we were ok with. Thanks for the love!
