Great review. We once tent camped a few years back here and thought it was a really interesting and different park. I did get intimidated by a skunk there but other than that it was great haha

The expeditions into New Yorks Brooklyn area and this one close to downtown Boston shows me that Dee is a braver driver than me. As an old sailor that sailed out of Mystic and Noank CT. I really enjoyed the views of the water with all the moored boats. Will you be venturing north to the White Mountain area someday? Stay safe.

So glad you enjoyed Winter Island! We book site 27 every year. We kayak from the beach into downtown Salem. Lots of dog friendly restaurants there, including one with a separate dog menu. I hope you got to explore the dog beach and the remnants of the fort.

Oh wow now we have to go back to try the dog friendly restaurants!! We oddly lost over half of our footage, audio and feel like we need to go and do a part 2 especially show what we couldn’t! Ty for mentioning the restaurants!

Halloween (Oct 31) is the last day of the season. The trolly offers haunted tours directly from the campground and the town of Salem immerses themselves in the haunted Halloween theme. 👍🏽👍🏽

What is foing on with Mass state oarks and their exorbitant fees for out of staters, esp. Cape Cod? Did you have a reaction to that?

I know it’s very frustrating that they did that for us out of starters!We mentioned it in a recent video how we’ve avoided Mass because of it, we tried a private one thinking it may be better and PAID MORE! There are some great campgrounds we sadly passed up

Did you need to also purchase the parking sticker for the recreational areas? I see its 150 for an annual pass for out of state residents. Just wondering if you needed this in addition to the camp site fee?

No you don’t , your reservation on RESERVE AMERICA is all you need. 👍🏽
