Hi Will. Great video as usual. Being a Devonian by birth, i have to tell you that you actually spent the night in the car park below Houndtor not Haytor. (think of the hound of the baskervilles). Anyway, you were very brave, as the infamous Jays grave is just down the road, and legend has it that she roams the roads at night, and has been seen by many motorists. There are always fresh flowers on her grave, but no one knows who puts them there. Prefer your van to the one that were in this video, and was surprised that a new van of this size did not have any toilet facilities. Years ago i had an old Bedford camper which slept 4 and had a shower /toilet , fridge, oven, grill, hot water boiler and a built in gas fire all in a similar size van to this one. Maybe, if you can find one still running, you could try a night in it. Mine was a 1979 model.

@@WillsWhereabouts It is possible to stay on a small campsite at the Plume of Feathers pub in Princetown. I think more country pubs should try and provide this service. It would keep them in business and the campers could quite happily have a few beers, and not have to worry about driving.

Hi watch your channel everyweek as a family of 4 we have had 2 tents 2 caravans and 2 camper vans and the price of camping on sites now is going up as they like to charge per person as a family of 4 this makes it as cheap sometimes to stay in a cheap hotel chain. The price of hire of camper is also not budget friendly in school holidays everything gose up in price we wild camp and love it so thought at this time of year when families are looking at options and budgets it might be good to !!!!! 1 buy a budget camper 2000 ish use for a week or two and resell and get your money back so essential you get your accommodation for free on resale. 2 hire a box van or similar and kit out with camping gear air beds camp chairs all on budget and wild camp compairing price to camper rental. Im always one for a adventure and to think out of the box the 1st time we slept in our van it was on cushions from couch used a camp stove and loved it so did kids. Now we built our van and have everything ie toilets shower oven fixed beds for 4. If I didn't have it i would defo go try one of these ideas for a budget friendly holiday and when I was younger and didn't have kids still think doing this with friends would have been amazing fun (just an idea)

Will. Just a quick question about where you parked, are you sure that was Haytor out the window and not Hound Tor? 🤔 The reason I ask is the carpark you were in seems to be in the wrong place. If I'm right then you were only 1.5 miles away from Heytor at ( 50°35'56"N 3°46'56"W ) not that it matters that much anyway. 🧐 On the subject of mental health it takes a lot of courage to ask for help and if anyone has an issue with ' Better help ' then think about if it's more important getting the help or not. I'd say getting help is more important. If the video was recorded 18th April then the weather would have been lovely. 😀
