Yo, Paulie - would a small, rechargeable electric water pump with a trigger and adjustable nozzle (for changing pressure) that clips to your weightbelt Be something that you could use to move gravels and clear sediment? Yeah fanning is free, but seems to me 8 hour of fanning is burning calories you could probably use more efficently elsewhere. I saw you use your snuffer bottle for that on a limited basis. Same idea but automated, and more flow and ergonomic. I wanna invent something.

Just be careful doing that in NZ, by law any gold, oil, minerals you find automatically revert to the crown (if they catch wind)

I live in New Zealand. Whanganui which is a place of astounding beauty. I live in a suburb and am surrounded by hills, trees, bush, birds, and wild deer roam over my lawn each night. I can hear the call of the wild peacocks up the river a bit to. If (when!) You get back here put Whanganui on your list. We have lots of fantastic, beautiful beaches here to.

You did not mention the requirements for gold fossicking in New Zealand. But presumably you were in an area designated for public gold fossicking, which are only in the South Island. Otherwise you would need to have the necessary permits from NZ Petroleum and Minerals, and the Department of Conservation if on DOC land.
