The wind really kept the heat not too bad. Not sure I’d want to be there mid summer though!

Beautiful place. That lighthouse at loggerhead key isn’t bad to look at either. Not sure about chasing cudas and snorkeling at night though lol.

Hey! Did the park rangers give you any trouble for the "Radiate" candle?
@GloriousDayAdventures Жыл бұрын
No they didn’t say anything. During our “rules” talk when we got there, we asked but they didn’t really understand what it was so they said it should be fine.

Hi...Thanks for a wonderful video! I was wondering if you have a preference of which underwater camera was better? I don't have either and am looking to purchase one for our trip this summer to Dry Tortugas. Thanks
@GloriousDayAdventures Жыл бұрын
Our GoPro Hero worked really well underwater. This one was the old version 8 but we now have a 10 as well. We also used our Insta360 in this video but we had a lens protector on it which is why you are seeing the lens line at times.

How do you get the go underneath the water without getting water in that tube that you breathe in
@GloriousDayAdventures3 ай бұрын
He just blows the water out of the snorkel when he comes up to the surface.

Hey! How far in advance did you book the ferry for camping?
@GloriousDayAdventures Жыл бұрын
We booked it about 10 months in advance. They limit the number of campers allowed on the boat each day so you want to call as soon as possible. I think they take reservations up to one year ahead
@playingintheband4422 жыл бұрын
Thanks great video!I'm hoping to go there in about six months or so .I'm wanting to camp for like 3 days or so but I've heard you have to make reservations 9 months in advance.But yeah your video answered a lot of my questions and also found really interesting facts Were the mosquitos bad.
@GloriousDayAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Book as soon as you can cause it fills up quick. We booked 9 months ahead and could only get a random Monday for 1 night. There were really no bugs. I don't think we saw any mosquitos.

I have weird concerns about camping. I know there are no bathrooms on the island, only on the boat? Or that was my understanding. I'm going in July and I would love to camp, but I'm not experienced at all.
@GloriousDayAdventures Жыл бұрын
There are “bathrooms” on the island that are open when the boat is not there. More like holes in the ground but they are raised, with a seat and in individual rooms.

@@GloriousDayAdventures Thank you for the reply. Samantha (my bride to be) and I are in Port Charlotte/ North Port, FL. Would really enjoy coffee or a beverage with you two if you are ever in the area. We are in the process of putting together a future of many adventures, work camping and just living a simple life of enjoy what is around us. Have a great day.

Is it true a lot of private boats show up and have a lot of people camping as well?
@GloriousDayAdventures Жыл бұрын
We didn’t see many private boats. I don’t think they can camp on the island without a reservation because there is limited space but I’m not absolutely positive. They may just stay on their boat overnight.
@squirreljam22402 жыл бұрын
That's a lot of work and planning to stay just 1 night.
@GloriousDayAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. We would have loved to stay another night but it’s hard to get a reservation. We booked in September and the only option for 2 people was this one Monday night in May. There may have been something in July but who wants to primitive camp in Florida in July. :)
@squirreljam22402 жыл бұрын
I went with my son in July over the 4th for 3 nights. There was only 8 of us campers. It was hot the first night not to bad the other two. We had the same campsite as you guys. I enjoy your content.
