I decided that i would drive into the Manti La Sal mountains outside Moab Utah originally planning to winter summit Mt. Peale. However a lot went wrong, more than what’s in this video, and I ended up just enjoying the solitude and scenery for a few days!

Thank you, it’s been a learning curve but I figure if I just film what I love doing it’ll all come together.

Love your set up. Can you give me some specs on what lift you chose, what size tires?
@hikerxplore
@hikerxplore 2 жыл бұрын
It’s got 315/75-16 tires and the lift is a mix, Toytec coilovers on the front and Old Man EMU in the rear, 3 in lift. Thanks 🤙🏽

Hey man, great vid, 3rd gen looks sweet. I've got a 2002 same color, looking for a front and rear bumper and I like the look of these. What brand? and do you run a body lift or is it just a suspension lift.

4xinnovations is who makes the bumpers- I enjoyed them, however they are heavy, I had 5.29 gears and low mileage driveline but it struggled to move the weight. A supercharger and a built transmission goes a long way. It’s a suspension lift with toyotec and Oldman emu.

@ mine has been re-geared 4.88, but I’ve weighed 5tons before in a different 3rd gen that was full of camping stuff with a RTT and awning and wasn’t re-geared. it ran totally fine, could be because it was a manual though.

@ well the 35s and steel wheels don’t help either along with the rooftop system, I also had a thick piece of plywood cut to my interior to bolt all my boxes and bed set up into, spare tire added, she was heafty. But it’s since been supercharged since this video and does fine.

Damn where did you get those fenders and hood at they look clean?
@hikerxplore
@hikerxplore Жыл бұрын
McNeil racing in California makes them, and the hood is factory, I paint matched them to the yota black like 2 months prior to this video, so fresh glossy paint job.

It’s a 99 model, and I did sell it a while ago now as these videos are when I traveled the country in it. I believe the body had around 330,000 miles, engine had under 70k at the time.
