Great vid. Couple tips. Put the shrimp in last, only needs a few minutes to cook. Mushrooms first with the onions, they are nearly impossible to overcook. Put the coffee grinds in with the hot water, not in the strainer, then pour it through the strainer. You’ll have to ability to put more coffee grinds to make it stronger and it’ll steep faster.

Sometimes, I just like to cut out from work on a friday evening, in the summer, drive up to the mountain by myself, grab fast food on the way, set up my tent, start a campfire, and chill out for the evening..Maybe listen to an audiobook, or an old time radio drama..Wake up in the morning early, and go for a short hike as the sun rises. Then pack up the tent and gear, and head home, stopping by a Mexican drive-thru for a breakfast burrito and a horchata. Then I have most of the day to catch up on the never ending to do list... But hopefully, soon, my wife and I can get out together for a bit of two night tent camping...even in this cooler weather.... Watching you two makes me want to campout with my wife... We've not done that in a long time.. lately, it's been a cabin in a forested neighborhood up near the mountain.. Not exactly roughing it, but then again, the sauna in the backyard is kinda nice! Keep up the great videos!

Have u tried cooking everything in a pot? Like a one pot pan? Could toss in rice or pasta in that stew, cover it, and let it cook ☺️ I like this kind of easier camping 🏕 and would love to invest in something similar some day

We have, but not yet on a camping trip. We have a lot of ideas of things to cook for our videos but we're usually testing/trying out at least a couple of things each time we go out. This is a great idea though and we will do it soon. Thanks for the recommendation.

oh cool, i just watched the one video. I go looking for camping videos and most are a single girl or guy who don't speak at all and that just kind of puts ya to sleep, lol. I think many people like to go on a little journey with people. i think they like the set up, maybe a little exploring, the whole cooking process, then just sitting back and relaxing. A good youtube video can take people to that place

Yeah when we first started this channel it seemed like the asmr style camping channels were what got the most views and were what people wanted. Honestly, I agree they're not as fun. I watch campers to get ideas or just to see someone relax in the woods. Looks like you got it covered, but when I grew up, mom would make half gallon jars (home canned and big family) of stew and our policy was generally quick and easy. No fancy cooking. More modern stuff works well like burger or tuna helper with a couple add ins for more hearty meal, instant mashed potatoes, that sort of thing. My brother does bake cakes and pies on the fire at times though, so there really is no limit except imagination. Word of caution, avoid cooking a meal in the dark. Never know what might fall in. Had to ignore crunchies once that we didn't put in, but we were hungry lol.
