CAMPING IN THE SNOW Snowy Mountains Kosciuszko NSW

On our bucket list was to head to the Snowy Mountains to explore the area and after checking with National Parks, we chose Island Bend Campground to be our base for our beloved Mildred (van). From Island Bend we venture to check out the ski resorts and catch up with friends at Thredbo, it was all fun and game until it was time to leave with our van.

Oh gosh! Was this the road to island bend campground?? My friends & I are planning to go next week with a 4by and caravan and my 2 wheel front drive.. i guess I’ll be putting chains on!

How beautiful was that snow fall, picturesque!! - snowscary.. oh my gosh holding our breath watching this one. So lucky that family was there and Steve was all over it!

We were very grateful for that large truck, as we may have been waiting a long time for the ice on the road to melt. Having no traction was very scary, especially when your breaks don't stop you from sliding.
