Join me and ‪@benhikescamps‬ for a wild camp in the Chiltern Hills. I tried out the Wild Country Helm Compact 2 tent for the first time, and Ben was in his Helm 1. We admired the views, did a bit of lion hunting, spent some time exploring Teletubbie Land, admired some weird worms, and had a good catch up as well.
I blew the dust off my winter gear for this one too, so it was good to take that out ready for some ‘proper’ winter camps.
Drop any questions down in the comments and there’s a 43.7% chance I’ll get back to you.

I have same problem with Coleman gas canisters. It's as if they have made them different to other manufacturers so they only work reliably with their own stoves. My APG works fine with every other make of gas canisters I've tried. I got round my situation by breaking a link from one of those silver ball type keyring thingies you sometimes get on clothing tags and dropped a ball into the canister top. The APG stove then worked ok.. I wouldn't recommend for regular use but got me through the camp.

Great Video as usual, quick question, what sleeping bag/quilt were you using? If I've ever had any issues getting a stove to connect to a cylinder properly, I have removed the rubber washer on the bottom of the stove (if it's got one) and that can allow the stove to be tightened slightly more, hence pressing on the cylinder seal a bit further. I find the go systems cylinders to be really good.

I have the APG stove and never had an issue with different gas canisters. I also have one of the Jobsworth variations as well and that has an issue with pin not fully opening the gas from the cannister. (I think that's why they recalled them). You have to really tighten the stove on to the cannister with the Jobsworth and the gas pressure is still way less than i get with the APG. Good video Ben, I don't like the fact that I like that tent 🤣, I'm a Cloud Peaker though so will be staying with the Naturehike.... For now.

Jesus Christ saves John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hey Ben, I've had a right game with Coleman gas canisters myself. They don't work with SOTO Windmasters for a start, and tend to release gas slowly on other stoves, too. Apparently it's a known issue, and Coleman insist that their canisters are made within the correct specifications, and that it's the fault of the stove manufacturers. That may well be the case, but I only ever buy Coleman gas in big canisters now, and use them to fill up others that reliably work with any of my stoves.
