5 dollars a gallon is crazy! That is amazing that you lucked out and got a campsite, looked crowded but beautiful!

So happy for you to have gotten a sweet spot in Yosemite Valley! You will surely find some quieter less crowded spots after you leave the valley. We stayed at a VRBO in Mariposa first visit and Blackberry B& B second time at north entrance. Both times were before owning our little Airstream. Heading to western NV in a few weeks......hopefully to find a nice community to move to for the next phase of our lives. We're tired of PA long cold winters and hot humid summers and want to live closer to our favorite places to camp out west.

Teddy GingerBear we camped at the fair grounds in Mariposa for a while before we went into the valley, it was an adorable little town. And I don't blame you! We love the weather out west.

Hi! Is your class A longer than 40ft? No issues navigating in and out of Yosemite Valley in a long class A?

I've been trying to get reservations for a long time. You REALLY lucked out. How did you find out about a cancellation?

Just followed the Yesyoucamp link but would appreciate more info on your experience. Is there a fee for this service or and above the typical reservation fees assoc. with Reserve America? Is this the first time you used them? What would recommend as far as timing prior to your estimated arrival? We travel very much like you....very limited reservations. We use AllStays, Walmart, prefer state/NP/county/ national forests and like to remain flexible. Thanks in advance with any help. Also, is the service only for National parks or state parks too?

There is an extra fee required for the service. We choose the $12 option, which we found to be really reasonable. That was the first time we used it, and will certainly use it again! I'm pretty sure it's just for national parks at this time, but won't be surprised if they expand to state parks in the future as they begin to grow. You put in your preferred dates that you'd like to reserve and they send you a text and an e-mail when they get a cancelation in that range. We signed up with our preferred dates about 2 weeks or so ahead of time and it was just a day or two later that some one canceled and we were able to jump in and get the reservation. I believe you do get your money back if you are unable to get a reservation.

More people go missing in Yosemite than in any National Park and park officials do not make this known for fear of loosing income at our peril. Watch David pallides missing 411 KZbin videos and read his books, x police office wanting answers!
