Just a few miles from our new home. If you're ever in the area again check out the waterfalls and covered bridge in the DuPont State Forest, just south of Brevard.

We stayed there last year early November and it started snowing as we arrived. It was a gorgeous full moon and there are a lot of falls to hike within short driving distance. As soon soon as you said you got a spot, I started yelling be sure to go to the arboetum. So you glad you got to see that! We made our reservations almost a year in advance and will be back. Safe travels.

The Smokies! Love it. We usually call ahead on the road as we travel bc we don’t know how far well get on a given day. If can’t find, we’ll go to Walmart or something. The gas heater will last on batteries if I set it as low as we can stand it 55ish. Also run CPAP with no humidifier. Will run generator to charge prior to bedtime or park quiet time. Good info on the generator frequencies!

Another interesting video. Thank you. There is no real need to reserve a spot in a camping or RV park when you travel in a van or small rig. Remain free to choose where you go and want to overnight, especially during off-season and away from tourist hotspots. That has been my philosophy for years of traveling in Europe, even more so now that I am retired. Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.

Propane Gens are not winners; Diesel is the way. Truly hopefully you go lithium with 3k inverter and strong solar. Yes about 8-9 k; You’ll need to add or expand on your rigs alternator and your rigs engine will turn on when batteries get low. Your rigs motor is much quieter and efficient as a gen to restore your batteries. Imagine using your A/C 6 hours with no gen.
@EatSeeRV5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jesse, we will be having several solar videos coming out soon which will show you our full set up, we aren't getting a 3K inverter, but a 2K which is more than enough for us (it's what we had on our 5th wheel and it worked perfectly for our use). We're going to keep the generator for backup, but will rarely have to use it. There were times it was overcast and our solar couldn't keep up. It's nice to have a back up when needed. Also, we don't plan on using our A/C with our solar, we simply don't have the space for the amount of batteries or solar that would be needed to power that. - Liz
