Good one Pete. I remember going to West Wallaby Island when I was 10ish. (1970 fer fux sake) One of dads mates was a crayfisherman there with a hut/house on the beach they stayed in during the season. Beautiful place. Just don't sprain yer ankle in a mutton bird hole. Wish I was older to appreciate the experience better. Had crays galore. A great trip for you tho. That would be a trip you'd remember for a long time.

The 70’S would have been awesome over there don! Teeming with fish i reckon!

Cheers for the vid, In NZ we use a massive rope attached to the trailer with the jockey wheel and pull at a 45 so that one side pops out of the sand then the other works well for us and it saves dipping the ass end of your cars in the water Cheers Tho

Thats Amazing. But how come the beach recovery. Don't they have a decent boat ramp. I am thinking of getting a 260 Sea ray Sundancer For fishing expeditions to the Abrolhos. how much fuel did you guys use in the boat.
@WACampingAdventures5 жыл бұрын
Gday mate and thanks for commenting and the kind words! Funnily enough there is not a boat ramp at port gregory so if your going to launch a boat it has to be from the shore so we just wanted to be positive that we could get it out. Great choice with the sundancer that will be perfect! Geez hard to remember with the fuel i think around maybe 250-300 litres from memory but dont call me on that figure hahahaha
@sindrome3035 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the reply. I cant wait to get out there and feast on big fat Crayfish. You did a fantastic job putting it all together. Except you forgot to show the sleeping arrangements. I think its going to take me a while to find my boat, as I would like one with a diesel engine, for better range. Im also going to add an auto pilot, a fresh water maker, and a 60ltr freezer, to keep all those fresh cryovaced fish fillets. Cant wait till you guys do it again.
@WACampingAdventures5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that mate! You totally right i completely forgot to show the sleeping arrangements lol. With the setup you have planned you seem like your going to be perfectly setup. Well thought out. I might pay for a ticket on your boat as a guest hahahaha

Looks like you had some great weather over there. Sometimes it will blow it's arse off for days on end and get really rough. Take a can opener next time eh hehehe? Great video. Well done
@WACampingAdventures6 жыл бұрын
Got a good belly laugh with the can opener comment russell! Your not wrong mate we had to make the decision and come back a day early as the wind was going to pick up like you mentioned but bloody hell it was a hell of a ride back! Hahaha
@russellgaskin79956 жыл бұрын
Yeah the wind is 1 thing but when the swell gets up and it's all white tops even the bigger professional boats don't venture out to come home. Looks like you got home just before it got rough out there. Yes I laughed as soon as I saw what was going on with the 🔪. Did you see any sharks over there? They are normally following the Cray boats and not far away from divers over that way Cheers
@WACampingAdventures6 жыл бұрын
Yeh well said russell and yes i think we got out just in time. Geez it can turn quickly its amazing. Luckily we didnt see any sharks but then again we were only diving for a good hour at a time. Just enough ti get a feed.
