This guy, along with a few sailing channels, convinced me to give up weed, get sober, and save my money for a boat. Fast forward a year or so later and I'm actually going to look at a used sailing yacht within the next week. I've joined the local club and learned a lot about boating and it's only changed me for the better. Thanks for being a big inspiration to get my head out of the mud and actually live life.👍

Another great video, Rokkit Kit! I've also been using a tent/shade on my 18 foot center console boat. I repurposed my backyard deck 3 point shade as a sun cover for my boat bow when my wife and kids take a nap/break from fishing. I used bungee cords to hook it to the center console railings as well as front and side railings. I've even successfully tested it while running at under 15 knots. I really enjoyed the part where you show off your MacGyver skills again.

Great idea but just a thought.. Maybe a couple of those flexable poles from a dome tent chopped down to size so you can get a bit more tension on it, they could mount with some sown pockets on the velcro.

Probably a good idea to start using a fuse box and a main kill switch if you're going to keep attaching electronic equipment. Specially in a marine environment it may save you from a fire.

Great example of good old Aussie ingenuity, looks great! I wonder if instead of the pole in the boat at the rear, you move the pole back and run bunge to the tarp? Then again that would impact standing space. So much to play with!

Looks like a solid start. What about a removable small arched piece of aluminum across the bow just above your head. I'd be worried that a little rain would add weight onto the fabric and collapse what little breathing room you have. Just a thought! As always, great vid!

thats perfect! this is what i was thinking about for years but never managed to do it ;-))) I am also owner of the small boat and i have slept several times in it but without roof above my head it was always a big risk of become wet. Not only rain is a problem but also dewfall. I was thinking of so many boat tents as possible. From DIY to professional boat tents with plastic windows and zipping walls but thoce can be so expensive that it has no sense (tent more expensive than boat). Today I have fond your channel and viola - it is so simple. I will definitely make my own soon. Thank you very much! Be safe and be healthy! I am from Slovakia / Europe.

Sweet setup! very well thought out for sure! ...Regarding Anchor access in an emergency ...maybe mount a hefty Bouy/float close to the Tie-off point on the boat deck. so you can just untie and ditch it in the water(to be found later by its hi-vis floatation characteristic). You've essentially created a floating mooring point I guess. Keep up the great content!
