Unbelievable to think that everything you filmed has been obliterated. Also incredible that we heard the sonic booms of its destruction 700km away here in Fiji. Nature is so beautiful and terrifying.

Dear Dior and family, I love the quality of the documentaries. I expect to see this on TV soon. Little chook was so cute. What a fun adventure. One of the things good documentaries do is save memories. With the recent eruption, this presentation is now world wide gold. On a personal note, the place you have known as home for all your living memory has in a sense also been saved. Your home was also a growing work of art. With a clean slate, experience and new ideas, artists will always want to improve on their previous creations. Take heart and strike out on the new opportunities when you are ready. This clip may propel you sooner than expected. My heart goes out to your neighbours too. Let us not forget the generosity and kindness of the Tongans in their time of need.

Soo fun 😍 I'm Tongan & often visit Tonga now & then but after watching your amazing video, I feel like I have not yet experienced all of Tonga - the outdoor camping, catching dinner, no electricity/power, (real island life) - is just everything! You're extremely lucky you got a taste of her before she erupted.. Praying your families/friends back home are okay & recovering well ❤🇹🇴

So insane to see your families adventure months before the island came back to life. The fact your Dad could feel the heat inches below his feet is a testament to the island being unstable. Glad you all made it there and back with no issues. My heart and prayers go to all the Tongan people and your friends and Ohana!!

Amazing to see the bird life and vegetation colonizing the island so quickly. So many marine birds! Also, disturbing to see that even on this tiny parcel of the newest land on Earth that there would already be man's marine debris contaminating this otherwise pristine place. I live on a rather old (in comparison) volcanic island myself, the Big Island in Hawaii. Glad you folks got to experience this place. No doubt you are one of the very few to have ever set foot on it. Now it is all gone, as is your beautiful homestead. Nature gives, and She takes away. Curious what your family's plans are now, if you will rebuild in Nomuka. Best of luck to you all . . .
