I am 78 and I have learned that all we have are memories. Everything in life changes. Everything new becomes old. Cherish the memories. I am so sorry for your loss but I cannot help thinking that “thank God you and your family were not there to experience the destruction”! I worry about the animals. They do not have choice they have to rely on humans because we have domesticated them. That is really sad, you and your family can rebuild your lives they have to rely on you. Thanks for sharing and in all of the adversity I have faced in my life and there have been many times I have had to start over with nothing and no one to help, you have your family, I have learned in every single adversity I faced there was always an equal or greater opportunity and I alway ended up in a better place with more opportunity to help others. I hope you will continue to bring awareness to the terrible tragedy of the eruption and set up a GoFundMe me so people can send support and help to those left and the animals on the islands. Your tragedy could inspire others to help those in much need! Carry on with the fight!

Dior, you are a Natural Story teller, and maybe that's your call. Do documentaries. And remember adversty is the mother of all inventions and creativity. As Einstein once said "Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.” Take care

We first met you with the Wyns years ago and gre to love you and your family and the little slice of paradise you all created. While it's gutting to see what you all built taken away in an instant, I know with all my heart you will all land exactly where you are supposed to be and will build again better stronger and with a fuller heart.

This is so sad. You guys had such an amazing home! I was able to enjoy, it vicariously (to some degree) via Jason and Niki Wynn's channel. I feel a sense of grief, and I have never been there. It is amazing just how powerful the ocean is (and volcanoes). It's something that we all recognize, mentally. But when she decides to flex her muscle . . . wow. I pray blessings on you and your family, that you all find a new sense of purpose, and an amazing future.

I was introduced to your family via the Wynns. So glad I did get to see what your island home used to be and it was wonderful. You have a good eye and your videos are beautiful, inspiring and interesting. I truly believe you have a lot of great things in your future. So thankful that all lives were spared. Having felt like I knew y’all it was so distressing when the earthquake and tsunami happened. Love to all. ❤❤❤

The Tonga explosion is the biggest explosion every recorded, even bigger than the Soviet Union's biggest nuclear explosion. There is another Tonga volcano some miles north that appears to be doing something similar, ocean water leaking into the magma camber. I feel worst for you Father as the resort was hand built, mostly, had advanced high quality systems that required an estimated man decade of work.

I feel for you. I live on a little island in gulf of mexico that was the landing spot for Hurricane Ian last September - everything takes years to grow back. But for your family, you're fortune to be alive. Incredibly lucky that your lives were spared. I would take that miracle and wonderful memories, and go live your life. Time for another path.

We feel your pain, we also feel your love. Our house is yours if ever up here in USA. Not much needs finishing what I started, been working on other homes, less time on mine. Try linking "Wynns sailing" that's when we found you guys the first time. Less chips in the armor, more chips in the bowl Dad. you may have lost your dream but will never lose your memories.

So sorry you lost your home. I do love the drone shots! Epic! Last year we had a horrible hurricane here in Florida, Hurricane Ian, cat 4, make landfall in Ft Meyers. Crazy devastation on the outer island of Captiva, a very popular tourist destination. I live in central Florida, so the storms are not so bad once they make it this far inland. You should leave a link in the description to book a stay on your sailboat:-)

It's not as nice with all the shade trees missing but you could manage a more modest youth hostel campground combined with whale swimming tours on a boat like Tropic Bird. I hope your property was just a lease arrangement. It's good to be alive after that crazy massive explosion in your backyard. I noticed there's still a couple remnants of that island left. I keep thinking of that overnighter your family did and the scalding water under the beach. That whole thing was fascinating to watch from a safe distance via your video blogs. Thanks for the update and I wish you all the best.

Ohh man what a sad feeling just watching you return. The before and after shots are quite haunting and even without ever having visited your beautiful barn I know how truly significant it is what you’ve all lost. Your family has endured some hardship that for sure but it’s a testament to see you all sit down and look for positives. Stay strong and heal together.
