Headed out for another solo adventure at the tiniest (and most treacherous) island yet! Been eyeing this island up for awhile and have been very eager to conquer it, despite all the uncertainty...

Cord is good for more things than pulling things up: it can be used for temporarily repairing things, building things and tying things to the kayak, as well as attaching the kayak to a tree or something.

Perhaps carry some paracord or other rope? You could lower stuff down that way. Put a carbine on the bundles, run 2x needed cord though, release an end when the job is done and pull the cord up for the next load. But, I've no idea the weight of the kayak. Might need a handle for the cord? Just thinking out loud. Loved the video.
