We’ve watched every one of your videos. No one can hide pain without some of it seeping out eventually. I’m pretty sure most of the people watching care for you beyond what you realize. I’m glad you will be sharing more which will also help so many others

I hope whatever is between you and your Dad works out. I never was able to heal things between me and my Dad, though I tried to talk to him. He passed away and I have that permanent empty spot. I love all your videos. They are very calming for me to watch on a Saturday or Sunday morning after a crazy stressful week. You should publish that union canal book. I love that type of history.

Wow you got a set up there. The inside of your tent looks super comfy, i need to invest in a quality air mattress. The whole place to yourself, plenty of food and wood, books and computer, WOW!!! I look forward to hearing you share your story, we all have one, and I know you will help many people just by talking about it. I think i can say on behalf of so many people you are appreciated, and we support you 100 percent! By the way, I love to look around for "bonus" firewood when I get to a campground myself!

I understand completely. Chris and I have been going through a rough time for a while now with a situation with a very toxic person. We find peace with our videos and we’re trying to help our situation. Our channel is to small to talk about it but your channel is perfect for that and I think it’s a good idea to talk about it because it DOES help others. Thank you for this video. I hope you find solace in your situation as we’re trying to do the same. 🤗

RE dealing with toxic peeps: Anyone who bullies others does it becoz they have low self-esteem and the bullying makes them feel superior. Instead of working on their self improvement they'd rather take the easy way out and bully others instead. That's a nice and quiet campsite for you! I'm looking forward to the pretty covered bridges!

Dad left mom when I was two, he passed away 6 years later in 1950, mom died 4 days after my 14th in 1956, knocked around with various relatives till I was 18, changed schools and friends a lot during those 4 years. I found out early on that what don't kill you makes you stronger. I'm 80, wife for 50 years passed (1968 to 2018) in 2018, I'm pretty well off with a big home that overlooks a golf course. Worked hard at only 4 businesses/jobs but they were good people to work for. Got more years behind me then in front but can't think of anything I'd change because that changes other things. I've outlived all my older brothers, sisters Aunts and Uncles brother and sister in-laws too. Life is what you must face day in day out, good times and bad. My advice? Don't wait for others to do for you, do it yourself. if you take care of the person in the mirror, you'll find you can even help quite a few others along the way. I also would never trade my street smart common sense education for any years of college.😀😀😀

Cliff! I can’t believe I haven’t thanked you via comments in other videos before. i’ve been a viewer for a long while now and I never miss an upload. You are absolutely one of my favorite youtubers of all time. I’m very very picky about who I hit the subscribe and bell for but your videos, personality, genuine love for forestry, wildlife and PA is so refreshing. I understand struggles especially with people you love. Just know that every single subscriber you have loves you, i’m certain you have one of the most loyal fan bases on the platform. I just wanted to thank you for working so hard so all of us can enjoy the world through your lens. Thank you for being vulnerable with us in this video, I hope you know you have our 100% support no matter how you are feeling. Looking forward to many more adventures.

Cliff, stay strong and don't let anything get you down. Perhaps, you can come half-way with your Dad by trying to compromise in some way. I know all about toxic family members, and it can be very painful in dealing with them especially if they have some mental issues. Try some camomile tea because it can be calming.

Hey Cliff Ryerson is very close to where I grew up. We camped there every year and spent many weekends at the pool and on the Lake. My senior picnic was there. We love the place. Also Pricketts Fort is just south of there and is a full size Revolutionary Fort built in 1776 and by George Washington’s design. It’s like the one you and I went to in Maryland.

I was there in 1980 or so . looks so much different the camp ground roads were just gravel and only a few small trees . you had a clear view of the valley . don't remember the lake , but it might of been drained already . we were there in mid April and had the whole place to ourselves . brings back a lot of memories

Seems like there are more unhealthy people in our world now than ever; in everything from name-calling politicians to members of our immediate families. Its taken years of counseling and my God to bring me out of my suffering into a new healthier life now at 76 years. Left some toxic family members and narcissistic friends behind and with less friends I am finally at peace with myself and my world. Its been hard work but well worth all the struggles to get here today. And, may God bless each of you out there working on finding new paths! ❤🙏
