I love my electric air pump for my outwell hornet xl smartair, with it's single central inflation point. It takes less than 2 minutes to inflate my tent. In this above example I suspect some of the issue is that all the doors and windows are zipped up and this creates a vacuum inside the tent which the inflation has to fight against. By opening the front door you allow easy air access and therefore easier inflation regardless of the inflation method used...

Can you show the actual pump connection to the tent close up?

Good review of all 3. Out of the 2 manual ones which would you say was the easiest to pump with? In your oppinion is the Zempire worth the price over the other manual one? Peace
@AttwoollsCoUk Жыл бұрын
The Zempire pump was definitely the easiest to use and personally I think it is worth it.

How do the various pumps compare when extracting the air?
@AttwoollsCoUk Жыл бұрын
Only certain electric pumps will actually suck the air out but again the oversized manual pump tends to perform best in our experience.

How do i keep the air from rushing out after the beams are inflated?😢

Depending on the valve you should be able to make sure the valve is in the close position before start inflating the tube.

Thx for the reply. Is there a similar pump to the hurricane that can be used with Vango
@AttwoollsCoUk2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not, because of Vango’s unique valve you have to buy a Vango pump and they don’t make anything larger than what they provide with the tent.

Just a quick question, will the Zempire pump fit a Vango Soneva Air 450 ? I think you touched on this in the video but wondered if an adapter existed possibly - PS still after a Soneva Air 450 Sky Liner, Ta !
@AttwoollsCoUk2 жыл бұрын
I’m not aware of an adapter on the market which will do it but I have heard of some clever people who have 3D printed themselves one. Most people have taken the main nozzle of the Zempire pump and then just pushed the Vango on the end relying on the adapter holding onto the slopped part of the pump. I think this has had some success but an adapter would be the first choice solution.

Can you use the hurricane with Vango products?
@AttwoollsCoUk2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not as the valve isn’t compatible unless you try and wedge the airspeed adapter on the end but it hasn’t been really designed to do that.

That's a monster tent. Why I think manual is better. "Fact" Sure it's a little harder work but with experience on my lorry's both Electric and manual pumps same principal, electrics break much easier than manual while trying to make life easier for us. A bit like a water pump or gravity fed. Keep it simple then camping will be simple and much easier. Manual has never let me down, electric has a 1000 times.
