I grew up in Southeastern Washington and in high school the way me and my friends camped was very different, we would get a bunch of food, beer, we were kind of wild, made a big fire and put some blankets, sleeping bag and pillow on the ground by the fire, it helped that the weather is hot and dry in the Summer, never even thought about the wild animals in the mountains

Never had a campsite owner check what is being burned in a bbq 😂 it's pretty obvious from a mile away whether wood is in there from the smoke. Also never seen one where it actually has a curfew rather than just a 'keep the noise down' time. We always have the fire going into the early hours with some quiet talking. Logic behind not allowing bikes on the grass but allowing cars is odd. A welcome reminder to always read every rule, camp site owners vary massively.

We go with three families we know from our kids going to the same schools. Olivia’s 2 best friends are in the families who come with us which is why I let Holly bring a friend too x
