I had very severe anxiety in school to the point where I could not talk or move, I would literally be frozen the entire day, I had panic attacks before and after school. When I moved to uni majority of that went away. I think the benefit of going to a new place, new environment etc where no one knows you it can be really helpful for starting fresh... especially in relation to anxiety because it feels less like people are going to expect you to be anxious if that makes sense so you feel less pressure. you can feel a lot more free and less trapped like grace said. I hope this next journey goes well for you grace xx

If Grace ever wants to expand after college, I currently go to London college of fashion and it is AMAZING!! The facilities are brilliant and the people and connections are just great. I couldn’t recommend it more… and it is also one of the top places in the world for fashion and makeup! I can definitely see Grace going far so I wish her the best for the future.. I have no doubt she’ll do great❤

As an 18 year old. College is way better and mentally better than school in my opinion. I’ve been in college since I was 16, and it’s been the best thing ever. Studying in college is way better, the environment and freedom. I do public services in college (police/ambulance), it’s the best experience. I’m all for college, I feel like you learn more life experiences and skills.

As someone with ADHD and autism when I tried out revising for my mocks I actually really struggled to revise in a cafe or noisy places but I always got distracted at home, so I tried out the library and it worked out really well for me as long as I had my headphones on! I always continue to take 5 min breaks everything 15-30 mins to re regulate my mind

Well done, Grace, on your exams. Whatever the outcome, you should be so proud of yourself. I'm sure you have done amazing. Your school is a good one, so I'm sure, together you've got this in the bag! My son has adhd too and found revision hard. My daughter is 13 and having the snap conversation with me at the moment. I made my son wait until he was 14. My daughter said would love to model and promote Des vu in the future. We love the brands. The quality of the clothes and tan is amazing! Best tan I've tried. We love you guys.... ❤ x

32:00 my parents were just like this and i love them for it/will be doing it with my own someday! they told me i could try smoking as long as i told them - i'm 26 and i've never smoked in my life because i didn't feel the need to rebel against them and try! i hardly drank at all until i was 20 because my parents allowed me from 15/16 (if i wanted an alcopop etc) but never felt the need. they even used to joke when i'd get extremely anxious that i could do with a spliff🤣 yet i never have. there was soo much openness and trust that i never felt the need, but if i needed rescuing, they were THERE. i could talk to my mum about s*x and secrets, i've never hidden a thing from them. it's the right way to do it!! whilst still being strict on the right stuff;)

I am 1 of 5 siblings and the oldest has severe disabilities. It is just normal to me. I’ve always known she was different and as I’ve grown up (now 36) she’s nearly 40 and I often care for her. We have a nice bond (she is non verbal) but a wicked sense of humour 😂 laughs at all the politics on tv 😂 I feel like Grace is going to create her own brand and go head to head with des vu 😂😂😂 Good luck at college Grace. I have ADHD and college and uni are definitely more understanding and even more knowledgeable about these things. Many times I left to go home and rest when my anxiety was bad. Love you DVG ❤️

Grace has really inspired me bc when I was in primary there was this girl in primary who you would say “has the look” of adhd which isn’t true so when I said I did they said no u don’t u don’t look like you have adhd and I was really upset bc when I felt very emotional I was called a baby but it was my adhd being triggered so no matter what just keep ur head up like grace has bc it’s not like they determined what you have ❤

it’s funny what sarah said about the difference between maths and english.. i actually think it’s the other way 🤣 maths is right or wrong, english is all about opinions aswell as facts and then there “is never a perfect answer” yet you can still get marked a 0??? makes no sense 😂

Hearing how you're explaining to Chloe about Sophie being older than her but having a younger brain reminds me of my relationship with my sister. I've grown up with my older sister having autism, which means I'm like Chloe and I'm technically older than her. I also don't have any other siblings though, kinda like you were saying "Imagine if there was no Kaci or Grace for Chloe to look up to" you were literally explaining my life😂I don't have any older sisters to look up to, but that's ok because now I've taken the role of being the oldest and my sister looks up to me which is really cute lol

I had exactly the same issue as grace on a train once, when I was pressing the button on the door and it wouldn’t open and it was definitely the right door on the right side of the train by the platform, and I got stuck on there for another half an hour or so, it definitely happens 😩🥺 and I agree that snapchat isn’t as bad as long as you’re only adding / accepting people you know, you don’t have a profile with pictures to see like instagram, it’s just messaging and stories, so if you’re not friends with someone they can’t see anything or send you anything, while on insta anyone can send you anything 😅🙈 I’m 28 and use both but just have Snapchat for friends / people I know 🥹🥹🥰 thank you for another amazing podcast, and thank you grace for coming on, it’s so lovely to see you too 🥹😍💖💖💖

The talk button etc. And i told him that his voice in his head doesnt have the talk button. But he can play. He smiles. And he is kind. So it doesnt matter that he cant talk or still needs a diaper.
