Had my daughter camping from her first months. Rule #1 for living in a tent, you sit at the entrance & remove shoes/ flip flops before your feet come in! Kids sleep better after activity, adults too. FYI, some libraries have tents availible to rent for cheap or free. Cool vid y'all! Heck, I've put the tent up in the yard when we couldn't afford to travel, good training & a change of pace.

My sister went camping for a WEEK with six kids (two tents, one for the young kids with one parent, one for the older 2 with another parent. They ended up playing musical sleeping bags the whole week. I think they'd have LOVED that tent! Go Coleman, and go YOU guys for up and going! It ain't simple to take half the house along with for a 36 hour jaunt! :)

Camping is great. I almost always need steroids because of poison ivy, but I still love it. Hiking, fishing cooking on the fire, photography. I love even more now that I get to share it with my nephew and teach him everything that I have learned over the years.

We always want to go camping! I much prefer to camo over staying in a hotel. My son enjoys it and we will be taking our 2nd born for sure. My biggest goal is to travel to Mexico and visit my husband's family. I HATE the heat, but I'll live lol!

You with that bug spray is TOTALLY ME. Those little nasties can can just LEAVE. Right there with you, sister. If you go camping again try using permetherin. It's a synthetic military grade bug repellent/KILLER and I use it when I worked outside on the ground in the woods. I was the only one out of my crew not absolutely covered in ticks and all other little blood sucking nasties. The great thing about it is that you spray it on your clothes and it'll stay working for a month of washing and wearing without needing to reapply. Can't touch it while it's wet (toxic) but once it dries, you're good to go. I have a feeling you hate bugs just as much as I do so give this stuff a go if you can. It's in the yellow bottle on Amazon and I think you can even get it at WalMart too if that's your jam. Anyway, super cute video! Loved seeing you and your family have so much fun together!

I would really really love to see a video about scary things in pregnancy, when it's something to worry about and when it's fine. Like spotting, fundal height not measuring correctly, feeling dizzy, headaches etc. This whole pregnancy I've occasionally had little things come up that like the book they gave me will say is not normal and to be concerned about, but my doctor (not a slam on my doctor I love her) says it's fine. Like my fundal height hasn't changed in my last two appointments (27 and 29 weeks) and she's still only measuring 26cm. My book says anything more than 2cm is bad but my doctor said it's just because she moved from sideways to head down. Gives me major anxiety man

I have a question (honest question, NOT an accusation)... I was very surprised to see Milo is forward-facing in his seat (surprised only because you are a doctor, not for any other reason)... my understanding is that, although it is "legal" to flip kids to forward facing at a certain age/weight, it is still always the safest to keep them rear-facing as long as possible until their ones/pelvis are more developed/stronger. Could you shed some light on this issue and your decision to flip him? What age did you make this call at? (I also noticed your girls are still in 5 point, which means you're being extra safe, that's also what made me wonder...)

Not to Coleman... it's much more kind to encourage camping in the Spring or Fall for those blessed enough to live in the awesome state of Texas (and pretty much any other state located in the lower half of the "lower 48.") I love camping, I love spending time with my 4 kids and my 2 grandkids, but it would take some serious convincing to do this in the heat of summer in Tejas! Its hilarious that owls were the biggest fear, clearly these kids have never seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre! J/K, but the owl fear is clearly very real, or at least it was, she conquered that fear by sleeping all night, in the middle of the woods in a tent! Fun times, thanks for sharing. Camping with 4 kids is certainly not nothing. I grew up in a family with 4 children and we went camping all the time but my parents had both the benefit and the challenge of a large age gap in my siblings. If I was 5 then my closer sister was 6, my brother was 15 and my oldest sister was 16 so you've got the ages that eat the most at meal time and the ages that need the most snacks making food a task and a half, but also you could kind of let the teenagers handle themselves to a degree.
