Nice thing about the SIGG Tourist Cook Set is that it is stable, good wind screens and with the nesting pots I would start the hot cereal or other main meal, get it up to a good simmer, then put the smaller pot underneath with water for hot drinks. When the hot drink water is hot, dinner (or breakfast) is ready.

Sounds like you're speaking from experience. I will definitely try it this way the next time I use it. Thanks for watching, and God bless.

Never seen one of those Rob, very nice little set up, if it has a pricker in it to clear the jet, then it is a Svea 123R I should think that is VERY rare, and you are looking at a price of round about £125--£140 enjoyed the video my friend ATB Ray
@BluegrassBushcraft4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ray. Yes it's the svea123. Very cool little kit. I think I gave fourty U.S. dollars for it at a local vendors mall. I suspected I got it much cheaper than it was valued. Thanks for watching and God bless.
@AdventuresofGraywolf3 жыл бұрын
@@BluegrassBushcraft The version you have is the 123R (newer than 123). It has the needle built in to clean the jet by turning the key full CCW. If you let the priming heat it up a bit longer before lighting it, it won't jump so much.
@BluegrassBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ray. That's much better than the twenty five U.S. dollars I gave for it. Hope all is well with you and your family. God bless.

@@BluegrassBushcraft I have one of these sets as well, but I had to rehab it (replace the rubber washer in the fuel cap) for it to be usable. You got a steal.

Looks like you fell as we're having a good time Robert. I think if you strap wings on that stove you could fly it to camp!

With out a doubt. It's definitely already got the jet engine. Thanks for watching and God bless.

Did you have to pump the tank to get pressure? And how do you do that we ich the stove? Great video too!👍🏼
@BluegrassBushcraft10 ай бұрын
No pumping is required. It has a wick, and it self pressurize itself from the heat of the flame.

@williammcallister58554 ай бұрын
What do you use to prime it?
@BluegrassBushcraft4 ай бұрын
I always use denatured alcohol to prime. It burns hot and smoke-free. You can also use the Coleman fuel, but it will smoke up the burner. Thanks for watching, and God bless.
@williammcallister58554 ай бұрын
Does denatured alcohol go by another name? I've asked for it at a couple stores and they aren't familiar with it. Thanks,
@BluegrassBushcraft4 ай бұрын
@williammcallister5855 not to my knowledge. You can find it at most any hardware or box stores in the paint section. It's in most stores around here. If you're in California, you probably can't get it. I heard they outlawed it there.

Try it again. You may not have preheat it enough. When it's cold here I preheat two and three times. You live in a much colder climate.
