Fifth wheel unit sales are suffering because of the Ridiculous price of pickup trucks. It's more price conscious to go with a low end motorhome, or maybe keep your old pickup and go with a smaller bumper pull. Diesel Pickup prices are out of control.

As far as RV sales down and class A’s, we won’t ever buy another RV -We have a Newmar Dutch Star 2023-We have pretty much rebuilt it in 2 years-There was so so much wrong with it-It was ridiculous-Only going to use it and keep it road worthy -We will never buy another RV of any kind after our experience with this one -I think a lot of people are really feeling ripped off by outrageous price and then the RV turns out to be a real pile of junk that you are stuck with 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤯

Went to camping world once. Got quoted an extra 1500$ for camping world to inspect the trailer they were selling. Not a certified inspection, just an extra 1500$ Never went back. Thanks

You can come to Nevada. Most of the campgrounds are free, and the ones that do charge don't make non-residents pay extra.

As someone who works in consumer protection, I cannot thank you enough for getting this information out. Hopefully everyone will share this out to get the word out and hopefully other states pursue similar actions until they are forced to sell with integrity and honesty. Until then, buyer beware!

I don’t think this should come as a surprise to anyone. RV dealers not just camping world find various ways to try and get more than what they’ve advertised when we bought our camper a couple of years ago. We drove a few hours away to the dealer to look at a certain one and they said oh we don’t have it anymore, but we found it in the back of there a lot and we were like that’s the one we wanted, that’s the one we came to see if you’re not selling us that one we’re leaving and we got it for the price that was advertised. These places definitely take advantage ofthings that buyers do not know. That’s why I appreciate your channel and others that do similar and that’s why we try to share educational information as well. Keep up the good work.

Symptom of laziness. So many people only want to deal with a few very high profit financial transactions rather than more transactions that have lower profit margins. You see that in the real estate market where many realtors only want to sell one or two very expensive homes per year; their commissions from those being enough for them to live on.

Last month, a friend of mine, 63 years old, purchased class C. RV from Blue campus cincinnati, ohio, the r v was listed for the sale price of $79000 and because she has her own finance. They charged her $87000 for the R.V. Also, they charge her close to a thousand dollar for preparation fees. The salesman told her that the price increase is due to the fact that she did not finance the r v through their dealership.

In fairness, a lot of people were paying the out of state $225 a year then occupying spaces in the New Mexico state parks for a full 14 days, then moving on to next state park. Made it often difficult for locals to get spaces for family camping. The new $600 a year fee should discourage a lot of that. If you primitive camp a lot in the state parks then you're only paying an extra $375 above what you would've paid anyways. $50 a month to camp all year isn't a bad deal.

It seems like a big hike because they haven’t raised the fees in 20 years. Frankly, the price was ridiculously cheap, which you can verify by searching for a full-timer videos about it. They shout out how incredible it is (er, was).

I would never do business with CW. We took a new Class A gasser there a few years ago that they agreed to do warranty work on and while it was there, I got a call from the service department telling me that they did an "thorough" inspection and the coach should be completely recalked and that "normally" the cost is nearly $4,000 but they were offering it to me that day for half off. I was always a bit leery of CW, but this incident cemented my opinion that they are nothing but lying vultures.

Texas also charges a per person entry fee per day on top of the campsite fee. There are not many $15 per night RV sites left in Texas State Parks. The Texas State Park Pass is still a good deal.

A NM family that camps 5 weekends a year in a water/electric site would end up paying $290 to camp in New Mexico. They would pay the exact same amount in Texas. ($22 a night plus $70 for the state park pass).

Jason, let’s be serious. The Moraine Park delay is just another example of government mismanagement. I have camped there several times; it is a great base for RMNP! I cannot wait for it to reopen by 2028 (😂) to get my RMNP hiking fix. I am sure the 49 electric sites will be in high demand. The campground did need attention.

Scope of work and completion estimates are not difficult to predict. There is no expectation of efficiency when dealing with the government. A few weeks of delay should be built into the plan. This is over one year delay. I would bet the campground doesn’t open before 2026, I hope I am wrong.
