Why not charge per size, the bigger the rig, the more you pay, greed, has made this country non- livable, for those who just want to live, not, show off how they live.. let's blame the freemasons... thank you...

Awesome idea. Apply the same energy storage to semi trailer transport as well.

This is all very challenging, but worth attempting in my opinion. My wife and I have seven non-adult children. We’re trying to make the most of it while they are all under our roof.

Hi Jason thank you for this news and information on monuments being named. And trucks being recalled. And more. My heart goes out to yours and Abby’s brother’s. I hope they are ok. Their families and their house. I will pray for all to be ok!

It would be interesting to know what the first fee was and then apply a cost of living adjustment to those original fees to see what the actual equivalent would be today.

I just took delivery of a F350 Diesel, crew cab King Ranch with a 8’ft box and my payload capacity is 4,000 lbs. The truck itself is spec’s with the heavy payload capacity option. I haven’t towed any of my trailers with it at all yet but looking forward to doing so.

I have the ‘23 F350 platinum SRW with the diesel engine…. I pull a Grand design reflection 303RLS. Could not be happier. Just above idle at 70 MPH going up hill…. The cameras? Wow! I could not park it without them. FYI there is a camera button above the center screen. Use this when pulling INTO a parking space.

Google search and you will find the failure of the CP4 fuel pump on Ford diesels is due to the low sulfur content in the diesel fuel in USA. Pumps are made in Germany where diesel fuel has a higher sulfur content which helps lubricate the pump parts. There had been a class action suite which is still pending.

How much pollution is saved by banning diesel RVs as opposed to the smoke and debris created by the LA. fires? How long could EV fire trucks do their job in the LA fires? Where are the displaced residents going to stay? if they had a diesel RV, that would be a possibility??????

The idea of REI Experiences was to make more people happy outdoors. Which in theory would create more customers for REI, but make it very hard to connect customer spending to REI purchasing. I suspect REI just blew away the program, because it would have been hard to tailor the program and get solid metrics on increased return.

So my CP4 pump may fail due to biodiesel fuel deposits. The fix? Change the software in the PCM. That makes no sense at all.

Fires in CA...done on purpose, no matter what crap excuse comes out. CA is on fire year around. Hmmmm, born and raised in CA, 50+ years and we rarely had fires, soooo weird, so many fires year round with weather to help the fire along. So weird... (Sarcasm) Learn more geoengineering watch

Interesting video. It would be intersting to tow it with something with a "instant fuel milage" gage to see how bad the drag from re charge lowers milage. Could you use the big battery in the trailer to supplement your electric tow car?

I don't think having standard halogen tail eyes is weird. LED headlights make a lot of sense. Not so much in the back. Standard bulbs burn out you replaced them. They are cheap. While LED fixtures tend to last longer, have you seen how much it cost to replace them when they are damaged or when they burn out? Sometimes thousands of dollars each. Stick with the old-fashioned cheap stuff. You never see it anyway
@RVMiles
@RVMiles 3 күн бұрын
But rear lights don't need to be expensive because they aren't anywhere near as bright as headlights. Cars have been using LED tail lights for decades now, well before LED headlights.
@kevinbarry71
@kevinbarry71 3 күн бұрын
@ perhaps they don't need to be, but if I were you I would price what Ford and General Motors and Chrysler charge for replacement units. And usually you have to replace the entire fixture. You will be shocked
@kgill5
@kgill5 3 күн бұрын
Don’t think the insurance companies aren’t looking at what these LED headlights cost. They aren’t worried ‘ cause the just pass the additional costs to you.
@lyfandeth
@lyfandeth 3 күн бұрын
Don't be fooled. LED lighting does not require "proprietary lamp assemblies" which is what you are being charged for. Two separate issues. I replaced all the BULBS in my old car with LEDs. Turn, brake, license plate, you name it. Might have cost $10-15 per bulb, but doubled the brightness and meant I'd never have one burn out on me. No tickets. Fancy light assemblies are an entirely different issue. Yes, you can pay $350 for a rear light assembly--but the LEDs are coincidental. If they made fancy light assemblies that used plain bulbs, the assemblies would cost just as much.
@kevinbarry71
@kevinbarry71 3 күн бұрын
@ if the truck comes with them from the factory, you'll have to replace the fixture because there aren't separate bulbs to just install.

I run a 6.4 hemi in my 2500 ram regeared with 4.88s truck has 240k on it and hasn't skipped a beat. I tow commercially with it. Best choice i could afford. And with the lifetime maxcare warranty it was a no brainer vs a diesel at the time

Hi, thanks for this video! Would you put your e-bikes up on the rack where you have the kids bikes? We travel with 2 Lectric 2.0 bikes. We have limited storage in our Avion so need our truck bed free to pack and has a tonneau cover.
@RVMiles
@RVMiles 3 күн бұрын
Our Xpremiums are just too heavy. I don't see an issue with putting the 2.0 up there if you can lift it. I would maybe get a rack that mounts just above your tonneau cover instead of one as high as ours.

All manufacturers churning out loads of junk. Customers trading in their junk before it blows. Dealers flipping junk to unsuspecting used buyers before they blow. I would not touch a dealer trade-in manufactured in the last 4 years.

I would like to see a similar powered axel (motor-in-hub?) design that could be slapped onto a 2WD vehicle. Especially an RV or van where you are already carrying sufficient electrical capability to power it. The idea would be to use it only when you need 4WD, which is pretty rare for most of us. Converting a van to 4WD is expensive and potentially affects things like your range if the center diff impacts on the gas tank. I would speculate that an in-hub electric motor could be much cheaper and since you only need it occasionally it would not necessarily need to be a big draw on your batteries. (Caveat I'm not an electrical engineer, so maybe I'm wrong about how useful / cheap such an upgrade would be.)

Have you seen EDISON MOTORS. They drive logging trucks in the bush in British Columbia. They got sick of waiting for the Tesla Semi so they built their own. They have many prototypes. Their customers asked can you add powered axles to our trailers, we could go way deeper into the bush and climb steeper hills. These guys are amazing. They have only built trucks so far. They are also starting kits for Dodge Rams, 4cyl Cummins to a generator which charges a battery and electric axles.

Love the concept but not anything we would choose to afford. But I think the biggest opportunity for this company would be to market their software to other RV companies. The hardware to power this thing is available off the shelf. The software isnt. No matter what you are towing with, this system on even a small trailer would be really beneficial.
