I took this to help with cravings after my last drink. It was odd because after 4 months or so being sober, all of a sudden I started craving again. But that's the way it was for me. Campral helped eliminate those cravings and my sobriety continued. It's been over 15 years since my last drink and life is so much better without alcohol.

I actually havent noticed a single side effect from this medication. Maybe there are but if so theyre so subtle i dont notice them. For me it just works, its not a silver bullet, its just one more thing that makes it a bit easier to not relapse.

So many programs out there that promise you'll quit drinking from one day to the next and feel great for the rest of your life. Listen, Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever takes a lighter, safer approach which you decide to go with at your own pace. Best shortcut I go’ogled that only took days to rewire my brain to continually experience mental peace.

Is there similarity with alcohol and benzos?
@okeydokey2337
@okeydokey2337 Жыл бұрын
Yes, the GABA in your brain is affected very similarly to alcohol when comparing to benzos. I think that may be why the withdrawals are so similar to compare with the two but im no doctor. Remember they tell you the only withdrawals from drugs that can be fatal is alcohol and benzos to my understanding. Even the withdrawal from opioids or opiates which is absolutely HORRIBLE hasn't been known to be fatal. So that should tell you just how dangerous alcohol and or benzos can be.

If you mean are alcohol and benzos similar the answer is yes, they are very similar in their effects and also the only two drugs that you can die from if you are taking large amounts and then stop cold turkey.

I was prescribed it from the nurse practitioner I see at the addiction treatment center. We tried Neltrexome and I gave it a good 8 months. It doesn’t work for me. She told me this medication won’t do anything unless I stop drinking first. Has anyone had less desire to drink starting this medication? Again I have it and haven’t taken one yet. Thanks!
