Hayden valley was a great place for stargazing also. We had lunch at lehardy rapids near those tables.....cool spot. Cant believe you saw wolves. During our trip a foreign visitor tried to put his child on a sleeping bison, luckily he was stopped by the campers and explained that they are not tamed animals. SLOW DOWN.... saw one bison lost and an F-150 probably totaled. Great video with helpful tips.

Wow! What a treat! You hit the jackpot for wildlife viewing, especially with the wolf! That’s the one animal we missed seeing when we were out there, so I am definitely jealous! Can’t wait to go back to Yellowstone, and I’ll definitely take your advice about getting out early in places like Lamar Valley, which is known wolf habitat.

I saw your gear list. Just confirming… You filmed all this on the GoPro 7? Beautiful video! Thank you for sharing. We are planning to go next June and as a wildlife enthusiast and hobbyist wildlife and nature photographer, I am over the moon. Wolves are my favorite animal but I am hoping to see bears as well. I actually read Air BnB reviews when trying to find one, to see if there are bear sightings 😂. I am not a fan of crowds but I guess it’s the only way to see these animals in the wild (ironically enough). I would much prefer to simply hike out in a lonely trail. I see lots more trails in Grand Teton and Glacier than in Yellowstone, it seems. Maybe I am just not looking at it right. Do you have any recommendations for trails good for wildlife spotting, uncrowded, but safe? Thank you!
