When you look at the 1 star reviews and determine what the problems are that you can improve on, how exactly do you improve on that product? If it's produced in China and by multiple manufacturers, how can you tell which manufacturer has a better version? Do you contact them and ask them to correct the issues? Buy their product. Check review why it failed. Find factories which manufacture them. At least buy samples from 2-3 factories at the same time. Evaluate price and quality of each. Negotiate with them on how good offer you have from others. Go with best. Buy small. Sell good and buy bulk.
