Hi Russel. Glad I came across your videos. Looks like there is a lot of useful help here. I was wondering if you cover anything that makes it easy to do what Descript does with scenes. It is basically a single click that switches the layout to a preconfigured setting. So I can go from an intro scene with a bottom third to a full screen headshot (scene 1), to a split screen recording/headshot, to a full screen recording, to a zoomed in headshot, and all of the above with dynamic captions overlaid on them. So basically, really easy editing. I've tried (unsuccessfully) to replicate something with Camtasia. I ask because I thought you said something like 'Cut Templates' as an advanced tool early in your video, and was wondering if that was something similar. Thanks

Yes, Camtasia does have a feature similar to Descript's scenes called "Cut Templates," which allows you to switch between preconfigured layouts and settings with ease for streamlined editing.

@@ttvRussell Thanks so much. It is good to know that exists. I am having trouble finding any reference to the term, though, and can't find any resources on how to do it. Do you have a video on it, or do you know if Techsmith has any support resources for it? Thanks so much for the response.

Thank you for another great training video, Russell; they are always appreciated. I'm currently halfway through the TechSmith certification course, however, I believe I prefer learning from your excellent training videos! Out of interest, when you're making a video about Camtasia, what software do you use? I'm guessing that you may use Snagit, which I do have.

@@ttvRussell it's a pleasure, Russell! If you are creating a video about Camtasia, surely you have to use other software to capture Camtasia, if that makes sense! Please correct me if I'm wrong or is there a way around it?
