Great review. Just wanted to let you know that you don't have to use Camtasias/Screencast hosting to use quizzes, you can export it locally using mp4 with smart player or custom production settings, and upload it to your own host.

FYI: I was able to clip a discount of $50 for Camtasia using the Honey App on Safari (June 2020), bringing the price down to $200USD. Thanks for this review Jenn - I'm actually choosing Camtasia over Final Cut Pro for its simplicity and efficiency! FCP is way too complicated and the file sizes are killing my MAC.

If you host your videos on an LMS (Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc) you do not have use and pay for Screencast in order to incorporate quizzes - Camtasia generates a Scorm package , which works on all LMS software. I imagine quizzes are mostly used in educational settings, almost all educators will have access to an LMS.

Good review! Screencast actually does have a free account option. Obviously the paid account provides more space, bandwidth, etc.

Since you are using a mac how does this compare to screen flow?
