Loved the depth on this on. Can wouldn't know this but he inspired so many people I know, including myself and the positive ripples that come from one person's inspiration... Hearing what he's been through was really difficult but so glad he's on the other side and reconnecting with the community he helped pioneer and the lives that were better off because of his inspiration. Also loved hearing the NW writers getting a mention

Real man talk. Big up Can. Totally get what he is saying. On one hand you can say he has suffered from a psychosis, the other he is on a path of individuation. I believe graffiti hastens this and is akin to tribal coming of age. That Adrenalin rush of your third eye opening and conscious reality is splayed open so you see through masks of reality is scarey and illuminating. Some people cannot handle it. Can made it. Big up brother. Keep treading the middle path.

Brilliant interview. Deep. The graff scene is toxic when your younger. I grew up and grew out of being in crews, realising that I was better off painting alone, because a lot of writers just end up off the map, artist who are also criminals. P.s it sounds like Can is describing a spiritual awakening. The state that he is describing is a state that I was in for at least 5 years, but I was also an apprentice to a yoga teacher, so I was practicing yoga and meditation for around 3 to 4 hours a day. When you make that effort to be present with yourself, you eventually start to tune into the magic of life and it is mind blowing and very similar to taking e, but without the overloading up and horrible come down. It often happens to people after they have broken through breaking down. I had stopped using drugs and drinking and then starting cleaning out my body and mind and eventually that quite voice started speaking to me as well. I acknowledge it as God.

It is because some tags have better flow, balanced well and are more aesthetically pleasing.
