For future reference for “sheltered” plants all you need is a roof over them. Even if they are on a porch with roofing, they will grow :)

I once just put a roof on the ground large enough to walk in using a door and made that my green house. Cost only as much as whichever door you choose.

Update: I was inspired to install some questionable mods and create a big ole polygamous family. I disabled jealousy and it was still a whole mess. So, after 3 other 'wives' and like 4 babies, I just split my sim and she's living her best life alone streaming herself dancing in her underwear now.

24:10 there's a bug with plants. All harvestables will randomly revert back to their lowest growth stage every once in a while. You can get around this by using cheats. If you enable testingcheats and right-click on the plants, you can set their growth stage back to where it was

Maybe you already know but: Greenhouses aren't necessary. You can just extend the roof (I like to place some pillars for a more realistic look) and plants count as sheltered.

I recommend having your sims write books as teenagers. It’s better than paining in my opinion because it’s harder but still brings in the money.

I usually set both the water and power functions to "store" instead of "auto sell" in the bills information tab. That way if there's a surplus, it gets stored and deducted from the bill.

the in-season harvestables suddenly deciding they're not blossoming anymore happens in my game too, but i don't think it's by design. once they've fully grown, you should in theory be getting new harvestables every morning at 5 am (provided you're on the lot during that time to watch them grow). it's more likely some weird bug. also, for plants to grow year-round, you don't need walls or windows, you just need a roof, so technically sheltering is free.

When you are in that neightborhood that you were dumpster diving, there are 3 different dumpsters around the semi open neighborhood that you can dive in. One on that lot, one a bit inland from that lot and one a bit farther back than that. I forget exactly where each one is at the moment.

Something I've learned from doing rags to riches is that a lot of the useless stuff you dig up from the dumpster (such as fabricator dye) can be put back in the dumpster once it's empty, and then it'll be filled again, and different items will come out if you continue dumpster diving

To Grow Plants, place a free porch and put a free roof over it, then delete the porch and its raw ground, now grow plants under as sheltered. You only need planters when growing inside ect. Raw land just plant straight into it.

The most profitable plants to grow are grapes!! The better quality the more they sell for so make sure to fertilize them as much as you can so you can evolve them :)

Searching in sand in either the beaches or deserts can earn quite a bit of money. Don’t quote me on this but I think you can use the terrain tool to make sand on your lot, that your sim can comb through.

Tip for these challenges. Buy a pile of presents. It never hoes empty and adding presents does not cost you money. I really love your videos.
