Better than getting the toddler to serve themselves from cooked food is stashing a load of produce in their inventory. A full queue of eating six different things will generally fill their stomach, and if you have evolved your plants, they'll get the buffs from eating higher quality produce as well. I've found that if you let toddlers or children eat real food when they're hungry, they age up to teen largely overweight. All the exercise in doing their motor aspiration and also the scouts fitness badge doesn't make any difference. But if they only eat produce, they age up with about 50% on both fat and muscle.
