The PS5 is one of those consoles that run rather hotter than we would like and gaming in a room that doesn't have controlled ambient temperature this may be a big issue for your console. As a mechanical engineer, i say the 90 degrees ambient air is being pushed into the hot enclosure, picking up heat and exiting from the side louvers making them feel hotter than before using the fan. It does not mean the internal part is hotter though. The best way to measure the difference is actually on the microprocessor heat sink.

I'm fortunate enough to have my AC vent in such a position that I can direct airflow right down to my PS5, and it really makes a difference, the air blowing out the back isn't nearly as hot, and the ambient air inside my cabinet is also not as hot. I think the best place to have air blowing is towards the top/front of it where the fans are

U should connect the fans to a different power supply and see if the ps5 does cool down with out connected to the ps5 so the ps5 doesn't take a load of Power making it hoter

Test invalid due to testing times different. The ps5 heats up to 140 if u dont have any fans and play for 30minutes. To be accurate you need to test base tempreature while off then play for 30 minutes then test actual heat. Than let it cool down to base room tempreture then test in 30min while playing with it running. And compare those 2 times. This is a great example of how to manipulating research

I think to reduce the heat of the console it would be necessary to invest in a laptop fan support. Raise the console slightly. And have 2 backplates with cooling holes I'll have to invest in this to test it out. In theory, we should be able to gain a few degrees.

I bought a cooling stand myself and I think all the plastic around the PS5 doesn't actually help. Cooling fans and Darkplates however should actually help as they give it more air.

I have my head phones usb device in the back of the ps5 so you don’t need to use the front USB’s

Wait, what? 91* is cooler then 120*. So it’s cooling off ur system. My room gets to be about 85* at times and my system doesn’t go over 130* at the warmest part of the system. The fan inside ur system is what cools ur system. All those after market “cooling fans” are just gimmicks. Ur not going to push more air in ur system with those tiny little fans then the PS5 pulls in with its large fan that runs at a faster speed. Only thing you can do is keep ur system clean and make sure you have enough space around it (as recommended by Sony). I’ve seen multiple videos showing that those cooling fans do nothing.

Yes I totally agree with you that the small fans will indeed not push more air in. During the time of me filming the video I had to turn off the AC in my room so the noise wouldn't be captured. Those poor little fans were just pushing ambient air in which was what I showed on the video. The 91 was while the console wasn't running a game once we got to playing it was a completely different story. Thank you for your feedback bro 🙏

I use the Bluetooth capability of the TV for my headphones. I also believe that you can connect headsets using the Bluetooth Accessories option on the PS5. Correct me if im wrong.

This is inaccurate because you only measured after 5 min, you should have played the game for about 2 hrs so it can get to max heat, without a fan; then turn on the fan.

1st... who the hell lives in a house at 90° even my wife born in hell wearing a snuggie if under 70° would say hell no... living in south texas house was rarley over 74° 2nd. The fans that push air over the ps5 are a gimmick. The ps5 cant intake more air than it already does. The back mounted fans are iffy. If high mounted non benefit. If low mounted small benefit. The only fans proven to be beneficial is the stand with built in fan one. But only run it in low of med. If in high mode it actually traps more heat as the ps5 fan works against it. Also you need about 18in on space in front of the fan and in open not in a cabinet cubby.

The only way for a console to run cooler is if the AC temperature in the room is around 40 to 50 degrees that way the room is well colder and the cool air is pushing through the console making it run cooler than usual but during this period of heat it is best to not play any games with this stupid heat temperature because it makes the console heat up more quickly than in cooler weather

That’s incorrect. You can make the console cooler even if the ac is not running. Granted it won’t be as cool as if it’s on but cool enough to make the console to not overheat

And how do you achieve this my friend is in a better apartment and he keeps the AC on 50 in the summer and he plays the Xbox one series x for hours and the temperature on the Xbox is not hot so he can play for a long time but in my room temperature is so hot and I can’t even play any of my consoles because I’m afraid of them burning up and killing the consoles
