As watching Djinn walking happily, I recalled a Japanese song in English. It said "Beyond the floating bridges, God only knows where we go." Footsteps on the earthy road sound very cozy. Besides, Djinn truly enjoying walking. Even longer, I could watch the video! This time, Djinn shows especially various expressions. For instance, at 2:46 I can see the white of his eyes! How cool! Dogs and foxes usually show only the iris don't they? So, I am amazed and amused to see their different face from the usual one. I hope you will enjoy going out a lot before it gets colder. Oh, even in winter? Yes, you can!

Beautifully written, and in our case it was Djinn who only knew where we were going. Yes, well noticed! Djinn must see allll the things, that's why you can see the white. For certain, we will continu the walkies. Just putting on some boots :)

A very brave and curious little guy who loves exploring the trails. Not your average Fennec. Djinn never cease to amaze me. You two are benefiting from all the time and efforts you've put in.

We were pleasantly surprised by this location, as well. I think we walked almost 5.5 miles!

Djinn is an incredibly well behaved little guy, sticking to the pathways and not just running off the sides into the underbrush and making things hard on you. Een heel braaf fennekje.

How does djinn let you know he is tired and want you to pick him up?
@DjinnTheFennecFox2 жыл бұрын
He starts walking really close instead of ahead of us, and then looks up like "please pick me up?" If we go through our knees, Djinn immediately jumps on our lap :)

The bell is to warm people that Djinn is near. Some fennec foxes got broken bones, because people didn't hear them and stepped on them. Also, if he might escape, we could still hear him. At home, he has no bell.

Hello, can Djinn walk without a leash? It would be nice to see her free, if it's not dangerous for her. Djinn is such a lovely creature ❤❤❤❤ Hi from Italy
@DjinnTheFennecFox2 жыл бұрын
We would like to try letting Djinn run free on something like a small island with no other people or dogs. Dogs, cars and people are dangerous for Djinn, so we want a safe place
@Graziano_Ferrari2 жыл бұрын
@@DjinnTheFennecFox I understand, the most important thing is that Djinn is safe. Djinn is so cute and I don't want anything bad to happen to her. ❤❤ Thank you very much

Hello! I love watching these videos! Djinn Is so sweet.. Our fennnec fox is 3 months old and is such a handful right now 😅 One thing I was wondering, How did you get him to like walks? We took him out at 10 weeks old with our little dog and he would follow them and love it! But now hes gotten a little more energetic and he doesn't like walking on his own at all or with a dog. What did you do with Djinn to where he loves walks? AlSO! where did you get your leash for him! I have always wondered!
@DjinnTheFennecFox2 жыл бұрын
Hi and thank you! Great to meet another fennec fox owner. Well, my first thought is that, could it be that your fennec is in his "October Crazies"? It could explain why he enjoyed walking before, but doesn't now. It's a phase in which foxes will naturally leave their parents. They become aggressive and territorial, because if they don't, they won't survive on their own. It's almost like puberty, and it will go away in a month (I think it took Djinn almost 3 months). You may feel like all the things you've taught your fennec are lost. But don't worry, if you keep on being patient and kind, you'll see that your fennec will turn back into his loving self again. If that's the case, then it's just a matter of time before your fennec wants to go on walks again. In the meantime, try if he wants to be carried or visit places he knows well (maybe just your own garden). We went for walks almost daily, and I think repetition could be very helpful. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions!

About the leash. It's an 8 meter long Flexi Classic Cord Lead for Small 12kg dogs. I cut off the flat end of the leash and attached a small clip to it myself (I didn't like the big, heavy clip). I also bought a second one and took it apart just for the cord 😅 When we want Djinn to run even further, we clip the extra leash onto it and then he has a 16 meter leash!

If you release it from the guide, does your fox come back with command? I'm thinking of adopting one but first I'm researching the behavior. I liked the channel.
