Ah Tom I'm in floods of tears here. I'm so, so sorry to hear about Ella. She was a good buddy always hanging on your every word. I always loved seeing her appearances and every time I'd send her belly rubs and ear scratches. We had a beautiful golden lab for 13 years. She got diabetes and wasn't responding to medication. We had to put her to sleep. She was too good a girl to let her suffer. I often wish we could get years more with them. Ah Tom. Sending big hugs and healing wishes from Ireland. They're part of the family and the best friend you could ever ask for.

Every time I start a new video of yours, I am always relieved to see Ella in the workshop. I could see she was getting on, but how sweet she was. So I was very sad to learn she has passed. Dogs are the best of friends and I will miss her dearly. My condolences for your loss.

Thank you for sharing Ella with us. As you might be able to tell by my screen name, I’m “in” Dobermans. However, since my last one passed in 2013 at age 13, I haven’t gotten another dog. Since my kids moved out and my husband travels, my slightly long hours mean I can’t care for a dog the way I’d like to. It really comes down to that if I can’t give them a great home, I will not have a dog. I do have cats now, who I love just as much and I don’t have to worry about crossing their legs if I have a long day in the office. I enjoy your videos and much appreciate this one as I have more pieces than I want to work on in this condition. Not necessarily needing a refinish but definitely needing some sprucing. I much appreciate your ‘restoring” philosophy too.

Exceptionally, the vet(who was at a neighbor's stables,) was able to send "Arthur" into where ever lying beneath the same tree he helped me plant with wife and son and I wishing him "bonne nuit," as our vet released the rubber band. I am sorry to hear about Ella. She was a good friend and great actress. After watching many of your videos I am convinced that I could send you a box of toothpicks and you could turn it into a lovely piece of furniture. Watching your videos is not only entertaining, but provides the encouragement for many of us to tackle a project that was once considered out of our reach. I was just visiting a couple in their 80's. They were lamenting that one of their favorite ladder back chairs was damaged beyond repair and would soon have to be thrown out. I took it home and with some of your self instilled courage and training got it repaired and revarnished with your favorite tung oil varnish. Next will come learning to replace the thatch seat. Thanks for all you do. I hope you and your family have a happy holidays ahead.

I have learned so much since I subscribe to your channel. Now dusting have taken a whole new meaning. My wife was not happy that dusting would become a weekend project, but she's impressed. We don't know how much pets are missed, until they're not around. My sympathy Thomas.

I am so sorry for the passing of your beautiful and faithful Ella. As a dog lover, I enjoyed seeing her in your videos as much as the piece you were working on. Many of your viewers will mourn her death along with you and your family but hopefully the memories of her through the years will provide comfort. ❤️😔 The table turned out beautiful, I couldn’t even see any imperfections in the final pictures. The owner may want you to spruce up the other nesting tables now also!
