Can the functionality of Wooting keyboards be considered OP? I've spent the last month testing out the Wooting 60HE+ to find the answer.

The main appeal as much as the actuation height manipulability is the rapid trigger. That makes the keyboard connect to your mouse movements way better than a normal keyboard.

You can reverse the spacebar for the way you are hitting the keys for superglides or you can combine spacebar jump and crouch together for superglides and use scroll wheel down for normal jump just a matter of getting the keys actuation right (dynamic keystroke) function

Pro tip about the Wooting 60HE. You can 'Mod' Your keys for video editing etc. So you not are forced to hold FN key down. If you set it up correctly, it quite easy and confortable to use. I cannot see my self going back to an 80% again - AND you can lock you FN layer, so you dont have to hold FN ;)

As you've mentioned at the end of the video--- It depends on the game, but typically the keyboard is the least important peripheral or hardware in your entire setup. I cannot comment on the 60HE+, I own the Steelseries Apex Pro TKL (Legacy.) Yes, custom accusation points and other bells and whistles are a nice step up, but I don't drastically play better. As great as it sounds, I could never (I didn't try long enough) get used to dual actuation. Unless you're a robot that presses keys at exactly the same pressures every time, it is quite hard to get used to.

Is there a reason why you left the sensitivity bar on the maximum for key deactivation? This is one of the major advantages a magnetic switch has over a mechanical one? Feels like you are missing on a whole lot more responsiveness and strafing ability there :) I also finally bough a wooting 3 months ago, and i haven't looked back. Especially seeing how other brands are copying them but non can match their latency, they really put a lot of effort in their firmware and it shows.
@peebeemm
@peebeemm 3 ай бұрын
His Rapid Trigger (Deactivation) is on 0.15, the fastest setting you can have. So it is indeed the maximum on how sensitive it is. If you put it lower the more you have to lift of your key before it deactivates.

Ill use ur affiliate link when i preorder the 80he. With them lekkor v2 switches. I gotta say, the keys where th3y connect to th3 switches look much more durable then my bullshit falling apart corsair keyboard. Which makes the 200 price tag worth it. But im going all out, never trying this keyboard before and WILL be getting the raw zinc body upgrade lol. Cant wait.

@@ThePioneer0000anyone who’s been running optical switches basically already has rapid trigger…. Y’all are talking about literal fractions of a millimeter thinking it’s so groundbreaking and revolutionary feature when majority of ppl don’t actually want their keyboard to be that responsive… Y’all get your jolly’s off the idea of gust of wind triggering a key press and it becomes so obvious that y’all just like to regurgitate anything you hear on the internet to fit in.
@LordCommanderVex
@LordCommanderVex 26 күн бұрын
@@KryueIInot sure what you're on about but no, having optical switches is not equivalent to have rapid trigger, there is no relation between the 2
@KryueII
@KryueII 26 күн бұрын
@@LordCommanderVex clearly you don’t know how these things work. Rapid trigger just gets rid of input overlapping. On a optical keyboard the second the laser reconnects the switch is reset and cause it uses a laser, there is literally zero debouncing… The difference between rapid trigger and a standard optical keyboard is almost nonexistent unless you’re running a ridiculously low AP on the board with rapid trigger, or the travel distance on your switch is higher than most. Most people on optical boards are on razer switches. Which already have a AP of 1mm to 1.5mm…. The absolute millisecond I let off a key I can input another. Idk about you bud… not sure if you’ve actually used an optical board before. But there is virtually no difference. Maybe if we hook up some fucking 20k a frame slow mo camera we’ll see a difference…. “Idk what you’re on about🤡” yeah you sure don’t… These software features are innovative when compared to regular mechanical boards but compared to optical boards… you’d have to be running snap tap, rapid trigger, and have a ap of 0.1 all together to feel even a slight difference between what an optical board already offers out the box… and if you need all those software features active at the same time then chances are you’re a shitter anyways and it doesn’t even matter lmao… Like I don’t know how many of you went to school but I learned about mm and ms in elementary school, pretty sure it was the 3rd grade too. I think most of y’all need to go back and catch up on how ridiculous small these units are…
@KryueII
@KryueII 26 күн бұрын
@@LordCommanderVex optical board has zero debounce. The absolute millisecond you let off the key it’s ready to input the next so long as you’re not bottoming out the key, which most people don’t. Inputs at around 0.03ms which is faster than a Hall effect keyboard. That combined with 1mm to 1.5mm AP the differences between these specs and rapid trigger and beyond minuscule. Unless you’re heavy handed and you’re bottoming out every single key press like a caveman there is almost no difference. Now if you’re running rapid trigger, snap tap, and a 0.1mm AP all at the same time than ofc you’d feel a difference. But rapid trigger by itself compared to how optical switches work is boarder line an irrelevant difference. Matter of fact everything I just explained was quite literally the entire point of an optical keyboard 🤣 literally making the inputs as fast as they can be and the overlapping of inputs as minimal as possible. If you’re an American that needs a short bus explanation it’s like saying my 200hp car is faster than your 198hp car🤣 only difference between optical switches and rapid trigger are fractions of fractions of ms and mm…. You sir are not a fucking robot who can tell the difference 🤣

Well actually that hand position is more natural than what a keyword would normally suggest. He is untwisting his forearm and he can still easily reach all keys as he has very long fingers. I don't think i could play in that position but it looks certainly more comfortable than the suggested normal 10 finger typing position. I think you meant RSI repetitive strain injury or carpal tunnel. Arthritis is the complete wrong disease. Go google it
