This is a VERY interesting and well made bar but how well does it actually work?
🔥 Check out the CUBB gluck.fit/CubbRotatingBar
The Complete Upper Body Bar (CUBB) made by Resistance in Rotation is very versatile and well made but can a modular bar do everything a normal or specialty bar does?

If they added a middle piece that has a landmine attachment this would be killer.

I really like the idea behind this specialty bar and considering the cost of a lot of the high end specialty bars this one seems reasonable priced for all you get w/it. Thanks so much for the great review as always. V/R Shane

I had a similar though while looking at my Rogue MG-4, Kadillac bar, and even just normal barbells that cost this much and more.

I wish I came across this video sooner. I just got mine in. Its a pretty amazing bar. I played around with it today and cant wait to use it in my program. I ended up ordering one of the custom sizes for a rackable 22.5" grip to grip. The adjustable one was just too expensive for the use it will get. It'll mainly be for curls, close grip bench, and arnold presses. I played around for a while figuring out the grip width to order. 22.5" is about the width of my EZ curl bar, Kabuki Kadillac inner grips, and Titan viking press attachment. I averaged the width from the three of them. Looks well built and should last a lifetime.

I work at the machine shop that makes those & I've tried the bar when I saw the owner at the Ymca.Really love it but out of my budget for now cause my car needs worked on & plus I want to focus my money towards getting some songs ive written produced.I got an album out a few yrs ago& it's well past time for me to get in the recording studio but it takes 💰 I Don't have yet.I will probably get one of the cheaper bars.We do parts for Chrysler,Ford,etc where i work but its not quite chrysler or ford kind of pay.We do some machine,blast & impreg work on them.

Very good review as usual!! I was expecting a "spill my coffee all over the place price", but for 500 USD, that's not that much for the complete system... A simple high end curl bar is like 300? This thing, if well made like you said, can be much more...

Exactly my thoughts. My kadi costs this and my MG4 was WAY more expensive.

As someone who gets giddy when forearm workouts are mentioned, Gluck needs to buy a 13 dollar karate belt off of Amazon and play with it on his Ares. Outside of the arm wrestling community, I have never seen any home gym content creator mention using one. With their ability to be wrapped around the hand(or not) at any length, they are insanely versatile and regularly get picked over my other cable attachments for more standard exercises on my Ares. 13 dollars wouldn't be too bad for a "Ultimate low budget cable attachment" video.

It's not cheap but at the same price as the Kadi and less then the MG4 it seems much more logically priced based on the complexity

Looks very versatile. Question; with the top of the line version bar ( modular ) does the buyer get all the components that you show on your table in the video or does the buyer have to purchase all those extras ?
@GlucksGym
@GlucksGym Жыл бұрын
The modular version comes with 2 bands, the carabiner cable attachment, the shorter center, 2 of those green end caps that go over the connection points for when you have the sleeves off (I never really use those), and the 2 shorter sleeves. That basically equates to the shorter version of the bar. I've got a longer center and a set of long sleeves as well (and a few other things)

That's interesting because I thought of how much simpler a kadi and its construction is and was very impressed the modular CUBB is the same price yet the fixed version is much less.
@hby7768
@hby7768 Жыл бұрын
is it rack able if you just buy the center extension without the bench extension?
@GlucksGym
@GlucksGym Жыл бұрын
In the short version (shorter sleeves, short center) it would rack on the sleeves kind of like how a short EZ curl bar would. To make it truly rackable you'd need the longer sleeves.

So no real way to lock those handles into a single position? They will always be able to be rotated?
@GlucksGym
@GlucksGym Жыл бұрын
Correct. They can always rotate but as you add weight it becomes harder to do so. All my attempts at benching for example felt very stable and I didn't have to focus on keeping them in place but with curls and other exercises I rotate them if I wanted to. Something like a skull crusher did take a time bit of effort to keep them from moving at times but it was minimal and not distracting.
