Grateful for the knurled pop in but still think they could improve their 'pro version' for a commercial grade version for those wanting the high end standard of Blackwing, AB 5200 2.0 or Rogue's Manta Ray and AB 3.0 but liking the versatility of IM. Knurled stainless steel handle, dip attachment being stainless steel or chrome with knurling instead of the rubber handles, seat that can tilt and vertical storage would be lovely! Especially with the freak athlete being as good as it is for lower body, lots of people will go with that for leg extensions/ leg curl and a higher end bench for dedicated bench work if they have the room.

You don’t include the rogue loadable dumbbells? They are pretty sweet especially in stainless. I have both Fringe Sport and Rogue ones. I don’t like the fringe sport knurling coating. Nothing beats the stainless steel shaft. 😎

Curious if there is a way to aftermarket replace the nylon parts with something 3D printed or even custom machined aluminium on the Snode. The nylon might even have better friction properties than metal to reduce the need for lube which would attract dust and another maintenance issue.

I listen to IFBB Pro bodybuilders every now and again and recently I asked why one was incline benching in a smith machine, and his response mentioned targeted pump. At a low incline I am now LOVING the pump I get from doing my incline in a smith machine. Also makes 3 plate benching easier and now I can do it on a flat bench without a smith.

To each his or her own, but IMO, $2,699.99 is too much for any exercise tool. For $2,699, I can create an entire home gym by buying many exercise machines from Temu, and I did. For instance, I paid $100.87 for a lat pull-down machine and $146.23 for a cable crossover machine-- and both prices included sale tax. Also, both exercise machines came with free shipping. What is not being said is that there is no optimal exercise equipment because of the problem of muscular accommodation, which is when muscular endurance, size, and strength gains stop because your body will eventually adapt to it. Thus, it makes more sense to have many more affordable ways to achieve muscular overload to avoid the problem of muscular accommodation.

Is this the 2.0? I thought the version of this that I reviewed last year was good but I thought it was inferior in terms of durability to the other single stacks and I’ve heard from some people who bought this that it actually broke on them. I do love the fact that the arms move freely and I get more questions about this piece than any other product I’ve reviewed in the past year.

OK so I have 2 Arcadia's in my small boutique group studio and they work great. I have the original Arcadia not the larger one that you're showing here but if I purchase another 1 in the future I'm definitely gonna get it. I think the height and the width of this one can be really useful for larger sized people but I train mostly women and most of them don't necessarily need this larger size so it's been fine for Is most of my clients

FWIW I just ordered a bunch of stuff to finally build my own home gym, and I ordered a basic set of Titan's black economy bumpers (a pair of 10s, a pair of 25s, and a pair of 45s), and the results were (measured by weighing myself + a weight on my Fitbit Aria scale): 10s: Bang on 25s: Slightly heavy, both were 25.4 lbs (1.6% error) 45s: Slightly heavy, both were 45.2 lbs (0.4% error) Waiting on barbell and whatnot yet, thanks to the weather, but, we'll see if I stick with these regular bumpers or switch to crumb to keep the noise down. I will say, I was surprised at how thick the 10s were, I was expecting something about half as thick.

I contacted them directly about my suggestions and tagged your video in there as well in an email. They responded positively and told me that they are improving on the product already and taking these suggestions in mind. I'm probably one of the few that would be excited to use the old school BoS attachments and it will be a decision factor for me, because I do somewhat feel a little constrained to that 5/8th hole 2.3x2.3 ecosystem, especially since BoS is all in on the Manticore 3x3 1" hole ecosystem now, there's likely not going to be any more attachments for me. But I knew the risks, their light commercial was such a great bang for the buck at the time and no ragrets I suppose. Funnily enough it was the exact two attachments you showcased, the dip bar and seal row pad would be perfect. My rack is busy enough with monolifts, jammer arms, and those sweet nylon roller j cups that while I could take stuff off and put them on, having a freestanding upright off to its own open space would be preferred, since both the dip and rows need a lot of clearance space.

Many people underestimate just how much you can do with a functional trainer. For a truly minimalistic home gym you could have this and nothing else and still be able to train everything. With a footprint (non max version) of about 1 meter (3 feet) from the wall and 1,5 meter (5 feet) wide, you need less than two square meters (20 square feet). You are using so much more space for your rack. I have mine in front of my rack and the space in between is shared space. I recommend the non max version. There is only one exercise where wider is an advantage, the cable flyes, and even that is debatable. For most other exercises you want narrow. For example if you are doing cable curls, narrow will have the pull more straight behind you, while wide would mean it is pulling from the sides. Most people don't need a separate low row and pulldown tower. I have a piece of wood that I place between the uprights. I can rest my feet against that and then use the d-handles to pull on both weight stacks (one for each arm). It was also suggest that you can cross the cables, although I haven't tried that yet. I have also done low rows by using a single stack with extra weights using a gym pin (and still using the wood to have a foot rest). Instead of pulldown I am doing assisted pullup by placing the trolly halfway and then stepping into the d-handles. You have to bend in the knees, because it is not tall enough for an average guy like me (183 cm). However this bending is not any problem because it turns out that the lift is going to be the same weight no matter what you do with your legs (as long you don't touch the ground of course). I have been playing with doing RDLs by standing on a step box and then simply bending over to pick up the handles. I need the box because otherwise the trolly is too high even at its lowest setting. But easily fixed by moving myself up. The same setup also works for doing squats. Of course this is only good up to the combined weight of the stacks, which is 100 kg (220 lbs). There are many shoulder movements, tricep, bicep, lats etc that you can do. Many of them you could also do on a single tower. By having two towers you get to train both arms at the same time. Which is a huge time saver and the real reason why you should get a (narrow) functional trainer over a single tower. KZbin mostly has older videos of cable exercises with most channels promoting the idea that you can either do old school rack / barbell movements OR you can do machines. They forget about the functional trainer, which can do it all. You just need to learn the exercises and I assume that is why fewer people use it. Put your ass in a machine and it is fairly obvious what to do. Even if you could do the exact same thing on the cables. Would I like a combined point for low row and pulldown? Sure, but there is something to be said of the simplicity and elegance of the functional trainer. It is a lot of parts for something that you can already do.
