You can't pull up because you are using the wing control surfaces for pitch. Set wing control surfaces for roll, tail plane control for pitch, and rudder for yaw.

His center of mass is way too far forward compared to the center of lift, requiring extremely high speeds to overcome the offset of CoM to be able to pull up. Nevermind the back wheels being too far back so he cannot pull up from the ground unless he gets really fast

Drae, whan building a tail dragger (a plane with a back wheel) make sure the nose of the plane points up (by making your front wheels taller than the tail wheel). It helps you take off. The plane you built has its fuselage pretty much parallel with the ground and when you try to pitch up you're basically just trying to push your tail wheel in the ground. Also, your ailerons were also acting as elevators, and they were pretty much negating what the elevators at the back were trying to do.

KSP 1 is my # favorite game of all time. So, of course I'd like to see more of this. I do hope the devs add in travel to space, or at least supersonic/hypersonic flight.

Here is the forces of planes explained simply for you Drae. If center of thrust is above center of mass nose will go down. If center of thrust is below center of mass nose goes up. If center of lift is behind center of mass nose will go down. Is center of mass is in front of the center of mass nose will go up. So all forces must be in line with cener of mass.

The reason the center of thrust is important is because it allows you to tell if the thrust will cause your plane to pitch up or down when using the engines. If the center of thrust is below the center of mass the plane will pitch up (like the plane you made with a ton of engines below the wing) if the center of thrust is above the center if mass the plane will pitch up. TLDR for rhe best flight characteristics make sure the center if thrust is at rhe same height as the center if mass.

An ekranoplan is a ground effect vehicle, like a plane with short wings that doesn't touch the water at all when it's at speed. The thing you were driving is a hydroplane, with 'wings' under the water and lifts the body of the boat.

Hey Drae you're losing power on the same altitude three times probably because jet engines work with air, and the higher you go, the less air they can pull in! You should have a jet stage for the lower atmosphere and a (probably?) gas stage for the upper atmosphere

Gas also uses air to work, both to have power & to produce thrust, rockets are the only source of thrust that have their own oxygen supply.

You should just watch a quick video on Center of Gravity in relation to Center of Lift. Its extremely important in aeroplanes. I found out the hard way

Its just one of the old ksp devs. but also a lot of people are disappointed with the ksp2 devs being laid off, so theyre back to playing the first game, but there are absolutely tons of mods you can play with. and personally i love the first game, i even played it yesterday and built a plane from a shirt my grandma bought me 😂

@@lechking941 I think it's more of a missing parachute/heatshield, considering getting to orbit costs a lot but returning, all you need is to touch the atmosphere ANYwhere in the orbit and then you airbrake eventually
