Been looking for a tele with a fatter, saturated sound for high gain stuff, as i love the feel and design. This convinced me it works with the right pickups. Nice tshirt btw.

I have a couple Teles set up this way with the Hot Rail pickups that I use live all the time with high gain. They have become my favorite guitars and pickups. Good luck and thanks for checking out the video.

You're right. But I think he's referring to the tone and sound of modern hard rock and metal. The Tele hasn't seen as much use the past few decades because it's sound is typically a bit too twangy and country for hard rock or metal. But with effects and mods, you can make it sound however you want. With all that being said, I want a fricking Tele!

Mike Stocks John 5 plays Teles as does Tom Morello. With the right pickups/amp any solid body can play hard rock and metal.

Sure you can rock on a Tele! It's like I always thiught Gibson 335's were jazz guitars, till I found out Clapton used to play one! If it's got strings and pickups, you can play any style music on an electric guitar. If you don't get the right tone, experiment with different pickups. Ya gotta play what feels right to you, not what everybody else thinks you should be playing. Btw...they're reliable, simple to string up, tune and intonate. They're solid tough guitars! They've been rockin for over 60 years!

My son and i play punk music and i use a Squire Classic Vibe Tele and my son uses a G&L ASAT Tele and a guy on Instagram was like "I've never heard punk music played on a Telecaster before". I bought a GFS little puncher because it was supposed to be like the Duncan Hot Rail but it's not 😒. I was thinking of going back to an LP style or at least a humbucker guitar but after hearing the real deal again maybe I'll just get this pick up or I am looking into the Little 59' if i keep my Tele.
@1thess523
@1thess523 5 жыл бұрын
I was thinking of putting a Duncan Little 59' in my Squire 50's Classic Vibe because the Alnico 3 pick ups it has are a little too bassy and when playing punk music I want it to be tighter just like they way it sounds on this video! Nice demo for me because most Tele reviews are country haha.

I was on fenders website .. what radius is your neck... I feel like I would like a wider radius neck ?
@joelsero
@joelsero 4 жыл бұрын
Kelly Michaels Radius is about flatness of fingerboard, not width. Typically, a flatter 12-inch radius (or higher) is favored for faster playing or bending strings without “fretting out.” Width has more to do with nut width (commonly 1.68”, 1.65”, or 1.62” but there are other widths).

@joelsero
@joelsero 4 жыл бұрын
Kelly Michaels Used can be great if you have the opportunity to see it in person and play it. Check that the neck is straight, that fret wear is minimal, and that the electronics work as they should. You might also want to check the condition of the nut.
