Unless you are running an Advanced track day pace, sport touring tires today can do it all. I run Michelin Road 6's on street and the occasional track day, perfect all around tire and last a long time... Also very cool to see that we ride the exact same roads... I am up there on them every weekend, if not on a bike, then in the car.

Definitely not sketchy. Try Reddish Knob from both the West and East sides.

Great video! The conti-SPORT attack 4 is a phenomenal sporty road tyre. Ive tried loads, Michelins, Pirellis etc, but that tyre is something else, great mileage and has grip limit feedback technology so you know when your on the edge of grip.

My Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S came equipped with Pirelli Angel GT 2 tires which are good tires, but they didn't last as long as I'd hoped, and they're no longer available. So I'm going to give the Continental Road Attack 4 tires a try. I'll probably try the Michelin Road 6 GT tires next time I replace my tires. Thank you for the review!

Yep, when you were in Helen, if you had gone straight up Hwy 17 you would have made it to Bell Mountain in about 20min. The issue most have with the Bell Mountain road is people will try to stop when a car is coming by. It's a lane and half and a bike can easily squeeze by a car but the switch backs are very steep. Definitely not for the newer rider.

Hey Chase, it’s R3M guy. I saw you on blood this day and it was great talking with you. If you every want to go on another adventure I would recommend Wayah Bald Tower in NC. As a local of bell mountain I think wayah takes the cake.

Touring tires are absolutely fine. I've taken PR6s and Trailmax Missions on the Tail. They were good for a run down and back. Could jave gotten another pass still honestly.

Curious what you would think of the Dunlop Mutants. I have them on my Speed Triple RS 1200 which I ride year round and found them to be good on twistiest to rain, etc.

Tires are a suspension component. Your first point of contact with any bump will affect a tire first.

Yea know I've honestly not thought of that connection like that until I read this comment. lol Seems super simple but until you actually think about it you dont realize it! Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the adventure and the scenery. The bike I ride is my icon in KZbin but the type of tires ha ha ha, I can't pull them off the top of my head. But does anyone care?

I like the Dunlop Roadsmart 4's and Bridgestone T32's as well, the road 6's are damn expensive.

Ive not tried these particular tyres but i have used sport touring tyres on my supersport 600 and 750 when i owned one before for years. on the road they work better as wider operating temps than full on sports tyres. here in the uk a lot of people believe you have to have sports tyres for sports bikes but that just isnt true. I have never run out of grip and most sport touring tyres are duel compound now and have the same side grip of old sports tyres anyway but with a lot more miles in them

I don´t know what you are talking about with the roads up that mountain. I guess it is because the roads are usually much wider in the US but here in europe you would need to expect trucks and busses coming down that road. Some mountain roads in Italy are barely wide enough to have two motorcycles pass each other so you have small spots to stop at the side of the road to let others pass. You need to even on a motorcycle. This summer I have ridden hundrets of miles on these kind of roads. They ususally bring you to the most beautiful places. I have to admit though, they are not always the most fun to ride because of the potholes. Thats where having an adventure bike makes total sense.

Wow really? That would be a hell of an experience...also terrifying! lol
