Things I’ve found out and/or experienced that needs to known. My symptoms weren’t not typical. No discharge.. no odor. I did have itchy. And because of that I misdiagnosed for over a year. Treat for BV (bacteria, vaginitis) UTI and yeast infections. Because I had no clue about trichomoniasis- because I’m not a doctor! My doctor treated me for a year for UTIs and used infections and bladder infections. Then he referred me to a urologist where he did a certain procedure saying I didn’t have cancer on my bladder and referred me to a gynecologist. Who is the person who diagnosed me properly

My Gyno actually miss this and told me everything was alright. After getting new panties I started have itch, itch itch!! I never had that problem. It could also be from using dirty toilet because in that space of time I travel. I did a popsmear when I got home and everything was alright, my Gyno was like maybe its body changes!! She prescribe a cream and nothing help!! But after taking antibiotic because of another problem, I started having smelly discharge and I knew fr sure something was beyound wrong! Im really wondering how did the lab miss this on my popsmears!! Did they even sent it to the lab😮‍💨

How long do it take to die on items like towels or other things if its on them? Does washing them and using high heat drying kill it on clothes and towels, etc?

Sooo … I had trich in March .. it cleared or at least I thought.. months later, I was burning (no itch, smell or discharge) urgent care tested me and it came back BV. Took meds as prescribed and a few days later I started burning again. Went to my OB/GYN. He gave me a full vaginal panel and said I still had trich. Took my meds again a few days after taking my medication I went back to urgent care asked them for a vaginal panel just to be sure and my results came back normal however it’s been a few days and I’m burning again. I’m not understanding what is happening and I’m super annoyed. Keep in mind. I have not had sex in over 2 1/2 months.

Went to the doctor for a general wellness and got what I thought was a yeast infection right before my appointment. We ended up testing for any other conditions just in case and I ended up getting diagnosed with trich. I have been with my partner for 8 years and have never considered him possible of cheating. I still can’t imagine that he may have cheated and the more research I did and saw so many people describing it only as sexually transmitted, the more worried I was getting. I still don’t think it was transmitted from him and high key feel like there’s no way I have trich but man do I gotta make sure to have a conversation with him 😩

I lost my partner over this 😢 I always went and got checked for STIs/stds but unfortunately it’s not included in that test because it “common” not “viral” I found out from getting a Pap smear I knew nothing about trich. I thought I was playing it safe by getting checked. I’m fully educated now trich. I totally understand now why it’s been around before aid/hiv this one right here opens the door for the bs. It’s the reason why soo many ppl develop cervical cancer and prostate. This goes unnoticed and often misdiagnosed. Some ppl have it for years. The health board don’t consider this as viral but it’s “common” so why want they make this commonly known.😢 I guess it’s silent and it’s the start of other std and cancer: my opinion. Never heard of this in my sex education class back in the day either but it’s been around before AIDS smfh. I just hope your partner understands. It’s other ways to get it as well but they say it’s a slight chance🙄 But trichomoniasis been around for along time before AIDS umm 🤔 ppl let that sink in the health board ply toooo much. Hope your mate stick by yo side mine didn’t understand so he left 😢

I found out after I had my second son by a Dr. If I don't get my son CIRCUMCISED the over lap skin on his penises will sit up infections (Tric is one) as he gets older in life 😳 so she(CIRCUMCISED) him at the hospital the next day. So that could be what happens also 🤷🏾 Lord!! Us women go through so much in life with our bodies 🙏🏾🙏🏾
