Let the NEW addition of good times begin. One of the benefits of side by each is going longer trips is less tiring, what I've seen is the gas mileage isn't a lot different from an atv, and sxs can carry a lot of stuff, so your riding buddys can load you up with the xtra stuff they don't have room for, win/win situation. I did 189km this past weekend and still had 2 bars left. I was supper happy with that. A ten liter spare gas will give you an additional 70km likely. So I was very happy about that. On the ATV I had hip and leg issues during long rides. No problems this weekend. Way more comfort for sure. Johanne is happier now that she’s not staring at the back of my helmet and can actually chat. 😂

Nice, I would suggest to install the front mud guards on it, it really help reducing the amount of dirt you get on the doors. Just saying welcome to the Cam Am Commander club!.

I have a video coming of it. We bought the 4 set of 30L rubber maid action packers from Amazon. Canadian tire wanted $68 each Amazon has 4 for $148. I’ll have a video out before we go.

There is a gap between the factory XT roof and the roll bar in the front. I fixed mine today with some strips of foam because I had snow coming in. Might be where the water is coming in for you too.

My wife and I purchased that exact machine. Placed the order in Oct of 21' received March 22'. I have installed a glass fold down windshield that has a wiper and I installed a washer kit from amazon for 20 bucks. The windshield is a Ryco manufacturing and was ordered under the maverick trail description as it is the same upper chassis, it fits very well and transitions to the sport roof perfectly. I ordered and installed a Lexan rear widow from Rocky mountain atv. I don't have upper doors yet so with the mud and water being kicked up by the front tires, I improvised and fabricated mud guards out of old 1/4 inch belting and secured with plastic rivets in the existing holes. They work amazing. I've been looking at racks for the bed but haven't decided yet. My wife and I love this machine and the odometer is currently sitting at 2698 miles. We've had no issues with belt, cv shafts, steering, four wheel drive, suspension etc. the only complaint I have is how much the factory brakes squeak. Also I'm 6'5'' so i did raise/move the seats back for additional leg room and to aid in getting in and out. Other than that we just need a heater and upper doors and we'll ride it all year here in Idaho.

It was so hot travelling across Newfoundland we had to roll them down almost everyday. As result they got scratched up but I guess thats to be expected. Love them though.

Hoping my partner would agree. I'm purchasing the same item as you have. I was wondering if you knew if the one up from that is much noisier or not. It doesn't sound like it comes with a stereo but it still feels like it though one can be installed.

Here the difference between the 700 and 1000 was $7200. For me it was worth it. They say the 1000 is noisier. Which would make sense. No stereo but tones of options. We use a Bluetooth speaker with our phones.

The $1000 was $7000 more then the 700. I was concerned about the power. But it proofed me wrong. The 700 has tons of power and torque. I couldn’t be happier with. It’ll do 85kmh with peddle left over. And it’s peppy enough for me too. I’m not a racer or huge mudder. The perfect touring machine.

Question? So, I and thinking of the Can Am Commander or the maverick Sport. both have their individual pluses and minus for me. I am curious about the power of the 700 compared to the 1000. How has it been with a full load, I see you are packed out, but you mentioned adding some more storage. Have you added that storage and is the 700 still as powerful with such a load? I’ll let you know. On Friday I do a ten day 1200km trip fully loaded. I did a trial run a few weeks ago and there was more then enough power for me.

I'm looking at getting a new sxs too and I'm torn between the commander 700xt( blue) and the Cfmoto zforce 800 trail gen2(blue also). The pros for the zforce are price and power. It is almost $4000 cheaper and has 12hp more...also 5yr warranty.The pros for the commander are the ground clearance and dump box . It's a tough decision.

That’s the exact predicament I was in. I had a CFMoto 800 cforce ATV and was going to go to the SXS zforce trail or xt700. In the end I chose the XT. I like the dump box and it’s bigger then the CFMoto. The XT trunk was like 660lbs it could hold the CFMoto was a third and smaller. We do a ten day trip every year across Newfoundland and I felt the XT was more comfy and roomy and could support more gear plus would be better for working around my camp collecting firewood etc. so the XT won out. But that’s me. I don’t regret it one bit to be honest.

There are 5 pine trees that you harvest just a few pieces the size of your hand boil in water for 15 to 20 minutes let cool then wash in the morning with it you’ll have no bugs all day long old native trick instead of bug off that barely works I’ve bin doing this for years and I’m ready to share it with people like you that love the bush just let me no if you want the names of the trees it really works and smells wonderful

Nice machine. I just ordered a Commander xmr 1000.. I also ordered the can am glass windshield with wiper kit and rear window. I bought a kit to raise the commander seats 2 inches as I feel the seats are to low.

I’m still in the break in period but had it doing 80km/h no problem with lots of peddle left. And it accelerated to that in seconds really. I am super impressed with the power. It certainly meets my needs.

Take it to someone who does window tint and have them put on clear tare offs put 5-6 layers when it gets scratched peal off that layers like the use on race car windshields

That’s a great question. Mine is plastic but flips up. A dream on hot summer days but a bitch when it’s drizzling or raining. My buddy has glass with a vent and wiper, he bakes in the summer, while we open the windshield wide open and enjoy the complete air flow. But when it’s raining or drizzling I have to stop and wipe down. It’s a pain.

I hate that the cup holders on the floor gee and it's more narrow cab wise than most sxs. Also hows the 700 I'd be afraid it's lacking in power

I was terrified of the possible lack of power. It has no complaints from me. Punchy, 80km/h in seconds I don’t need anything more. I came from an 800 lighter atv. The 700 is amazing.

No issues what so ever. I never had to loosen or remove the roof at all. My wife’s skinny little fingers dropped the bolts under the roof no problem.
