Hi Beth, when you going to drill a half inch hole, it’s always good to put a pilot hole through first which is a smaller gauge drill. Anyway keep up the good work. Love your videos , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🧑🏾🦽

Love the video .... Adjusting the clutch on the drill is very easy. Use the collar to twist to lower numbers if you want less power or higher numbers if you want more power. As a general rule of thumb, starting with a lower setting is always recommended - whatever material you are drilling

Thanks for the video! I just did the install today on a 2022 base F3. As far as where to mount the plate: If you follow the negative lead away from the battery, you will see that it has a push mount zip tie connecting it to the frame. Right below that mounting point (tho it is obstructed from view) is a small hole in the frame. And above the zip tie is a more obvious hole. I had to remove the push mount zip tie, releasing the batteries negative lead from that position. Once the negative lead was moved and out of the way everything made sense. Kind of an unfair obstacle. I will tell you mounting the plate to that position was brutal. There was a lot of laying down on the ground, the bolts being dropped into the spyder and obstructed views. Balancing the bolts on the end of the torx driver and slowly going toward the holes reminded me of playing the game 'operation' as a kid. Just wanted to share my experience and thank you for the heads up concerning the drilling.

I want to get a Ryker but dealers and previous owners say they have tons of electrical problems. Most dealerships in my area don't want to sell them.

Really??? I’ve had mine since 2019, just normal wear. If you do too much research, you can talk yourself out of anything. People only post the bed and never look good.

Another good thing to have is stepped drill bits. They won't pull through the material when drilling. Oh , turn the clutch adjustment to "DRILL" and you won't hear that ratcheting sound from the drill/driver. It's the black ring with numbers on it .

That's brighter than I thought it would be. I might have to get one. Is the color warm (yellow) or is it pretty white, like most LED headlights? I'm installing cooler colored (white) LED bulbs in my headlights this spring and I'd rather it looked similar.

I was yelling at my screen, hoping i could stop you from drilling that first hole in the frunk insert/ tub. 😊 For the life of me I cant find that connector on my Spyder. The video seemed to show it has a tab or push pin like device. Was it mounted on the frame somewhere? Whe you pulled the battery, what settings did you lose? Thank you.
@RykerRydes Жыл бұрын
It is really hard to find, just keep looking. The only settings I lost was the time. I don't have any other presets on my Spyder. Hope this helps.

@RykerRydes I found it. It was wire tied behind a large harness so it was 100% out of site. I was lucky to feel it, cut a wire tie then finally get a visual. That power inverter is a buggar to install, I found the location for it and tbe bracket, but it won't be easy. I'm betting it will be 10x easier once tbe battery is out. Thanks for sharing the info on the memory loss only being.the clock. I just didn't want to lose my trip meters. Very helpful, Thank you.

I’m not sure why you drilled that hole at 5:53 in the storage compartment. Oops! We all make little mistakes.
@RykerRydes11 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching, but I’m not sure what you are referring to in regard to a drilling mistake? The hole that you’re referring to was in the directions from Can Am.
@madmax389711 ай бұрын
@@RykerRydes I’m glad I didn’t follow directions from Can Am. The hole you drilled at 5:53 has no use. Folks don’t drill that hole.
@F-Ryd3r10 ай бұрын
Older models need that to be drilled, whereas the later models already have a recess to allow the "nipple" on back side of light to have room to fit. If you have an older model, only drill into the front lip of the trunk and not all the way through.
@steveyountz1757 Жыл бұрын
Several things........... First of all, it is great that you are finally using a wireless mic, but when you do you need to make sure it does not contact anything like a necklace or your hair, or clothing like a jacket of coat. Second, when you drill anything it is often good to start with a small drill bit and work up to your final size. In this case you could have drilled from the outside and you might not have scratched your gelcoat, but the painters tape and cardboard was a good idea. Finally, since I can't watch all the time, what happened to the Ryker and are you selling it? Take care........😎
